Huh... It never actually struck you until now that this could potentially be some sort of dream that you could be having. Yet at the same time you dare not pinch yourself. After all, the entire reason why you're here could be related to you having this... flashback?
Maybe things will be clearer once you find the item that got you into this mess in the first place.
…
Wait... what?
Where did that thought come from? What item?
The idea seems familiar to you at least, but how did it even enter your brain in the first place?
Did it silently creep into your head or something?
Ah yes, glowy things. The bane of everyone's attention span.
Maybe it has something to do with the aforementioned "item" that you thought of.
Maybe it doesn't. But there's really no penalty here, so let's check it out, shall we?
It seems that whatever's glowing is behind this box that's against the wall.
Fortunately it doesn't seem to be too heavy, so let's just kind of... slide it over...
And your efforts bear fruit! It seems that something was hiding behind the box after all.
Logic dictates that anything that glows is extremely important. Or perhaps a collectable of sorts. Videogames tend to influence people's minds like that.
To you, though? You know exactly what this thing is.
It was the cause of a lot of trouble for your dad, stepbrother, stepmother, and yourself.
It's something that you played around with for quite some time after finding it, and something that your father warned you about messing with because it belonged to him.
But you couldn't help yourself. Curiosity got the better of you, and then you played around with it more.
What's interesting is that to anybody else, this item would not have much significance.
And then one day... things just turned to chaos.
If you knew back then what you did now, you'd probably try to chuck this thing into the waters of Nova Scotia and hope that it either sank to the bottom or floated somewhere else.
Because even if you did do as your father told you, things wouldn't have changed...
Sarah?
*knock knock knock*
Sarah will you get out here already? I need to talk to you.

Author's Note: Many of the broken images and color text came from back when I migrated all the images from my STA.SH on DeviantArt to Miroware.io, and re-image migrating everything to the mirror in the span of a week while manually saving/uploading things (mostly on library computers, so there was going to be some busted stuff). It's fixed though! Thanks for notifying me!
