Puzzler's Space

A student from the back of the class stands up. "We'll take the practical courses."

But the silence which presided over the room still remains.

"I said, we'll take the practical courses. Are there no objections?"

A tired-seeming student stands, in opposition from the front of the room. "Well, I'll object. You can't just take command of the class like this. We need someone with the proper experience."

"But isn't there someone who has the authority?"

"We as students in the modern era shouldn't be placed in danger."

"Well, alright."

The class was dismissed.

Meanwhile, in a hidden corner of the academy, the lessons continued.

Figure 1 enters to a dimly lit room, in which two other figures (Figure 2 and Figure 3) are bound.

Figure 1: Now, what is your condition?

Figure 3: It's obvious that we are bound! Where are your eyes?

Figure 1: I didn't ask you for questions. I didn't ask you for answers.

Figure 2: Let myself do the dirty work. I have the authority granted to perform acts.

Figure 3: Silence that one already. Since we've gotten here all that's gone on is that unpredictable murmuring.

Figure 1: A moment.

A brief pause.

Figure 1: What did you think?

Figure 2: Thinking is the descent of force through the meta-[unintelligible] simultaneity of self-causation.

Figure 3: Just start it already, you fool. If we can't be stopped, let us at least run it to the very end.

Figure 1: Then, if that is what you ask for. Lesson 3...
