> The aircaster seems to have experienced an electrical short which caused it to lose power. The exact 'how' is unknown, but it seems like it was sudden enough that the pilot lost and wasn't able to regain control of the craft. Were they possibly descending?
> Due to the electrical short, some components are fried and the battery was drained. You'll need to get replacement electronics from somewhere and it's going to need a recharge from somewhere before it'll fly. Thankfully, it isn't as damaged as it could be as it'll only take most of a day to fix.
> Two useful pieces of gear, one electronic, and one a simple analogue tool were found. The analogue one appears to be... some form of compass? It doesn't quite look like the compasses you've seen before but it seems to operate like one. And is that electrical one a.. magnetometer? Were they measuring magnetic fields? Could an unstable magnetic field have been what brought down the glider? Weirdly... the compass seems to shift poles if you walk a bit. It pointing towards the Metal Spire if you move closer to it. However, if you move away from it the needle seems to shift to some other point.
You also found a hand-drawn map on paper, with the Metal Spire and coastline marked. 2 other locations are marked; one nearby with terrain around it, one far away, with question marks by it. They were labeled in a script you don't understand, but the terrain-one appears to be flat-land... maybe plains? And seems to be marked as if... as if... Is there an airstrip there? Maybe that's where the flyer was gonna land. The question-marks-one appear to be farther away but is in the direction where you woke up. Maybe they were investigating where you or your crew landed?
> You would try to get within range so Deedee can hear you shout. Since you really should meet up with them, or at least tell them you've found something. But you're unsure if you'll be able to find your way back. It's gotten dark quickly, and getting lost now could be fatal. Looks like you'll have to try to camp by the glider for the night and hope Deedee will be alright alone. Maybe you can make a fire using the surrounding grasses (so long as you're careful to not touch them with your bare hands) and some flotsam or inconsequential debris from the glider.
