If anyone's wondering, Philomela's Nest is thus named in homage to a greek myth. The name itself means "friend of song", and the myth is a rather gruesome one.

SpoilerProcne asked her husband Tereus (the king of Thrace) to escort her sister on a visit, but Tereus was a shitty animal with no self-control and raped the sister (Philomela) instead. Philomela was, in a remarkable show of mental strength after a traumatic event, being all "I SHALL NEVER FORGIVE RAGH"- unfortunately, in further shittyness, Tereus cut off her tongue. Philomela could no longer speak, but she weaved a tapestry telling of the events and sent it to her sister, who uncovered the crime and was so angry that she uh, killed the baby that she'd had with Tereus and fed it to him (wtf is wrong with this couple?!). Tereus got so angry finding out that he'd cannibalized his own baby that he chased after Philomela and Procne to murder them, but the two ladies prayed to the gods to save them and were turned into birds. Idk why but Tereus was turned into a bird too. Maybe the gods felt sorry about him eating his kid. Wow, I am the worst at telling myths.

Ironically, Philomela was turned into a nightingale, whose females do not sing. So Lord Rack's choice of name for the Lygiswyrm birthing grounds- Philomela's nest- is like a wish for her to regain her voice and sing once more, through proxy of these here musical space worms.

As for the name Lygiswyrm itself, I just taped some greek onto the word "wyrm". Ligys means "clear-voiced, shrill, whistling".

Edit: Oh right, and an Atrium is an open-roofed entrance hall. When I named it, I was thinking of the asteroid-nebula-belt as an open-air 'entrance' to Esmeralda's solar system.
