BUZZFIA - Game Start
… On Friday October the 5th, 2018, employees of the local branch office of WhatTheBuzz, an eccentric news organisation, were suspected to have gone missing. Today, the missing employees have been discovered in a vast network of secret rooms and tunnels underneath the office building. These rooms were not reported on public design documents in the Hall of Records. The police has not yet disclosed the coroner’s reports of the many tragic victims, but are investigating the deaths as homicides. At least a dozen employees are still missing. The CEO of WhatTheBuzz …
Receiving an email of urgent summons under threat of dismissal, you have arrived at your office in the early hours of the day. You, and all of your co-workers, gathered in the meeting room. All of the head honchos were there, including the CEO of WhatTheBuzz in the flesh. Even the janitors were there, lurking in the back.
As you sat in one of the overly complicated egg chairs, the CEO began to speak:
“I am glad you are all here today. As you MAY or may not know, there have been some infractions within this local branch. Plagiarism. False reports. Theft of office supplies. Fake news. FAKE. NEWS. Does this company look like a joke to you?”
Your egg chair squeaked, and someone coughed.
“GUILTY! Did you know the guilty don’t show? They don’t run, they don’t show. Now, they don’t LIVE while I BREATHE! They will never show their faces again!”
This aggressive metaphor was putting you on edge.
“And now, right here, right now, we are going to find out WHO. DID. WHAT.”
The CEO pressed the button on a remote, and the entire room hissed with gas. Everyone began to panic. Within seconds, your vision blacked out.
You wake up, in a room looking exactly like the one you were in before, but the colour scheme was even less sensible. Around you, many looming figures sit or stand. You can’t recognise any of them. A screen lights up, and someone’s face appears on it.
“It’s me, the CEO of WhatTheBuzz. I’ve drugged each and every one of you with special drugs synthesised by my personal R&D team. I will reserve the antidote for after this crisis is resolved. And you WILL stay here until every rat is exterminated. Every day, you will pick one among you to die. I will have my drones pick up the remains of each victim for analysis, and give you my verdict. Once every SINGLE error is accounted for, I will set the survivors free.
You see this screen? It shows me if there is “brainwave consensus”. I would let Michael explain, but he’s dead. Basically, if this thingy goes up to a hundred, it means everyone left is on the same page. This way, we will know all of the SCOUNDRELS who VIOLATED my ONLY COMPANY branch in this location have been exterminated. Happy hunting!”
And then the door opened, the lights went out, and all hell broke loose.

Celebrity Role Call
Mirdini is Paul from Sales, the Salesperson, aka the Celebrity Hated Miller Chest Tanker Tanker Tanker Tanker Tanker Tanker Bomb Graveslammer Graveslammer Graveslammer.
"HI I’M PAUL FROM SALES!" you shout just as the chaos begins. Everyone knows Paul from Sales. Everyone. And yet, do they?
The player to cause Justice Watch’s death will get all of their items.
Dunnergy has No Win Condition, and will inherit the Win Condition of the first player to die.
There is a Vending Machine. During each Day, players may bid on items in the Vending Machine. They must bid at least the base cost of the item, and may choose to simply match the bid on an item. Players cannot bid with coins they have designated for another bid. Invalid bids are ignored, and valid bids cannot be taken back. At the end of each Day, the player with the highest valid bid on an item gets it. If there is a tie, a random player in the tied group gets it. All failing bids are refunded.
This is Wheat’s Role in its entirety:
Night 0 Begins
Night 0 ends in 48 hours, or once everyone (who can) has submitted their actions. If you can act on Night 0, your role will explicitly say so.
If you have any questions about your role, please ask them. There is also a chance that your role has a mistake in it that I haven’t caught: please let me know if something seems wrong (and I’ll set it right).
