Alice:  Hmm... Going to Horton's for tea is kind of a waste, annnnd I am trying to keep away from things that'll keep me up at night- So something with chocolate, probably.

Alice:  It's hot leaf juice.

Lexii: One time I had to write a exchange gift fic for a fandom I barely knew about, and I ended up getting really into it after starting some serious research to prepare for it.
Alice: That's what I like about your writing.
Alice: Even if I know nothing of the story, you are very good at conveying the emotional forces driving the characters and their goals.

Lexii: Sometimes I just reread old things I wrote and I wanna die from the cringe.
Alice:  Is that why you took down some of your writing?
Lexii: Some of it...
Lexii: I kind of wanted to rewrite some of them, but I've had very little success...
Lexii: I try *so* hard to tone down the drama but it's something stronger than me. Trimming is impossible when you don't want to take anything out.
Lexii: That's why I want more critiques...
Alice:  Well, here's mine.
Alice:  Your work may not read like a professionally written book, but that's not necessarily a weakness of your style.
Alice:  Since if I wanted to read a book, I'd read one.
Alice:  And what's wrong with some drama? People like it. Why do you think reality shows are profitable?
Lexii: But doesn't it get to be *too* edgy sometimes?
Alice:  'Too edgy' depends entirely on the reader.
Alice:  If I don't like where a story's going, I drop it.
Alice:  But to me at least, I feel I understand character's motivations better when I see them struggle, and it's all the more rewarding to see them get a happy ending, if they can, after all the grief they've gone through.
Lexii: ...
Alice:  And you should consider, I first heard of Meeru after seeing it recommended on no less than 3 different sites. You have a fanclub. You have people writing stories about your AU's.
Alice:  I’d say a lot of people agree with me.
Lexii: Do you really mean it?
Alice:  Yep.
Lexii: ...T-thank you!
