Monomin Research Complex, 0000 hours. The lengthy assembly session had adjourned only an hour earlier, any miscreants looking to do CRIMES were still preparing to embark on their clandestine missions. Just as well, for as the clock struck midnight a certain failsafe in the plumbing system inexplicably… failed. It started as several small leaks, then a few more spillovers, and soon enough a flood before the emergency automatic drainage system manages to catch up with the overflow and bring it under control. With the flooding ongoing, however, the system could do little but hold the failure level steady until automatic repairs to the failsafe were completed.

So, when some brave souls head out into the halls in the small hours, they find themselves wading through a knee-deep sea of BLOOD. Why the plumbing system was filled with BLOOD, who can say? It proves to be an inconvenience, but not enough of one to dissuade any of the Assembly out on nighttime excursions. It sure is gross, though.


Monomin’s halls have been FLOODED WITH BLOOD in the night!
