@Palamedes I think you're not realizing how poison seems to work - unless there's a scum role that's somehow immune to it, having it in your inventory for any reason poisons you. So that would be why a town!Sunspider would not want to steal it, and why a town Pharmacy opening it from a giftbox doesn't make sense (Pharms would be poisoned and have said as much).
