Well.
Well, well, well.
How did you find yourself in this mess? Just... How?
You got kicked in the face so hard that it launched you into the air, and you evidently liked that moment so much you decided to experience it again.
Let's have a quick recap and see what brought you here.
You originally came to this place because you were tired of the problems with the water in your house. What did you even think you were going to accomplish by coming here? Maybe file a complaint or something? Sheesh.
You went in deeper and found that there was some form of shit that was going down and/or getting real. Kidnapped workers, strange people with strange technology, and a toxic goo that was slowly getting all up in everyone's business.
You helped the workers and fought some blue boys. Apparently their boss has some kind of aversion to fish.
In a moment of emotional weakness, you destroyed a particularly smelly fish that was keeping him away.
The workers said that they had sent some plumbers down into the basement to retrieve some more, but they hadn't returned. You decided to go on a little rescue mission, and ended up acquainting yourself with some black goo while you were down there.
You killed an alien tree-serpent and saved the plumbers! However, the goo snake was pregnant with a smaller creature, who you thought you could kill by stepping on its brain.
Word of advice - don't step on a hivemind brain. Leads to weird brain shit. You've been stuck spinning your wheels, reliving your memories and fighting your subconscious projections.
You have no clue how you're going to break out of this loop. You guess you could try finding the hivemind's consciousness and beating the crap out of it. You'd feel better, but you're not sure if it'd get anything done.
Anyway, with all that said... The current memory that you're stuck in is the one where a flipper was so lovingly lodged into your jawline that it launched you off a catwalk and into the depths below. You remember hitting the water, and then darkness.
What happens when you're forced to re-live a missing memory?
