Though the practice of using period-ellipsis for initialisms in prose has largely fallen out of style, most prestigious publications and most of the government itself doggedly stick to the practice of using periods in U.S. even when basically nobody does it for, say, any of its agencies. Therefore I would view this offer with caution, kind of like buying a stereo branded “Somy” in a dark alley from a guy in a loose jacket with the hood up wearing sunglasses sitting at a table that can be folded up at a moment’s notice.
