some hints or hint adjacent facts:

• You'd be passing rule 1 a lot more often if Sruix was here
  
• Posting a rainbow will always pass rule 3 but its overkill and will actively impede your understanding of the rule
  
• Understanding how a rule works will help you because all the rules work similarly. The easiest rules to brute force an understanding of are 1, 2 and 3.
  
• I had a devil of a time trying to come up with a fourth rule and I didn't do a great job. At first because it was too specific for anyone to pass it even when people were trying something in the vicinity of the right thing (it was an emoticon rule), and now because looking at the passes won't give you any clear information. Essentially ignore rule 4 for now and I'll give more blatant hints when you have a better understanding of the others.
  
• Rule 5 is the best rule and you're probably gonna need to actually talk to one another to work out what the deal is.
