who needs First Life when you've got

second life is really fun if you've got good friends and at least one of them has a deep understanding of second life's history

but you have to understand, second life is a giant sandbox. you can do a ton of things with it- you can upload your own 3d mesh and textures and make yourself an avatar from scratch, you can rent land and share a house with friends, you can sell stuff you made on the marketplace (and unlike many other games with digital currency, you can actually redeem it for real life money??)

but this amount of freedom means a lot of people also do unsavory things with it. luckily it's usually easy to avoid, if you just keep the Adult tagged areas hidden. :v
