You take one of your two Large Batteries out of your Duffle Bag, and set it next to the Radio.
You don't really know how this Artifice Gate stuff works, but you're pretty sure Clax can handle it from here.

Knock on the shutters and say hello!

Call out to the noise, see if they are friendly before running away or helping them.

As you get close to the Pipes, the scratching at the Iris Shutter stops.
You hesitate for a moment. Maybe whatever's in there heard your approach?
There's no sense pretending no one's here, anymore.

You rap the back of your hand against the Shutter, and call out.

You knock a few more times, then wait. At first you only hear more silence.

Eventually, a faint shuffling can be heard. Then, the steady scraping from earlier picks up again.
Sounds like something sharp, scratching the inside of the Shutter, and catching on the grooves.
