Alas, my knowledge of candles in relation to proper tea party etiquette is lacking.
It's something of an odd situation, as there is a lack of servants to hand it to take care of, and given it's flammable nature placing it under the table isn't quite appropriate either.
Well, this is a tea party among friends so setting it on the small table off to the side is probably fine. Might ask for a spare trivet first to set it on.
