This isn't really my problem as much as it is someone else's. My issue is that this is going to be all I think about for the rest of the night.

E: Her mom was incredibly understanding. We hang out, and she's calmed down. She's trying to stay positive about the whole thing, which is good.

I guess I'm not angry as much as I'm just really worried. A friend of mine just found out she failed a course that she retook over the summer and her academic adviser told her she should probably drop her major. Since the semester's almost over, there's not much to be done to fix things in time for the next semester. It looks like she's going to drop out completely after "wasting" $50,000. This is really what she wanted to do. I'm afraid she's going to do more than cut tonight. Her parents are coming to get her, but I'm not any less worried. God, I really hope she checks herself into the hospital. If she doesn't, I hope her parents are sympathetic. Them being upset is the last thing she needs right now.
