RE: BreadProduct teaches you how to draw.
That is quite alright. I said I will be here when you are ready and I meant it. Thank you for sharing your work.

From what I can see, you have spent some time paying attention to the basic human proportions of the head, the ears aligned with the nose, the eyes halfway on the head. You will be able to push that further by looking into more ways to measure.

Check out this pay what you want guide that discusses various ways to look at your drawings and references. I know not everyone has the benefit of expending money on things so 0 dollars is an option.

If we look at an excerpt from Drawing the Head & Hands by Andrew Loomis.

He spends a lot more effort measuring the horizontal divisions than the vertical. Both are equally important but for right now I believe that focusing on horizontal proportions will benefit you greatly.

By using the eye's width as a unit of measurement you can see that there is one eye's worth of distance between the two. Something that not many bring up however what is also worth noting is that from a straight on view, there is about an eye's length on either side as well.

For your first assignment, I want you to use the accuracy tutorials to come up with 5 new observations you haven't noticed before about how the head is measured. Come up with your own if you like. Try to focus on horizontal observations but if you find others feel free to add them to your list. Note how they change when the head is viewed at different angles. How do they change? Tell me.

For the drawing section. I want you to copy the two heads denoted above. Do not trace, instead rely on the measurements provided and the techniques in the accuracy tutorial to guide you. Good luck!
