Okay the way I see it, here are our options:
-We roomtrap Hephaestus and hope we can get a word in because if we do that we will absolutely be in his way. Not favorable, we'd be risking our and our patrons' lives. Athena especially would kill us if we get out of that.
-We escort him to the room, keep the key on us but agree to open the door for him, and then we go in and roomtrap Eris. My only worry is our crew being left alone with Hephaestus after he has had his goal taken from right in front of him, though he doesn't seem the type to kill our crew for something we did. He'd probably figure our crew is innocent and... oh. He might just. wait patiently for the roomtrap to end. Hm. Maybe we could get Athena and Eris to fuse? That would help matters here.
If we go with the latter option, which is my personal choice, we'll have to tell our patrons to trust us first so Athena doesn't think we're betraying her. Perhaps we send Helios the "trust us" message in a spoiler as we ask Hephaestus why he wants the key. Either way,
>Ask Hephaestus why he wants the key first.
Edit: Oh yeah, putting the lamp in front of him and running is also an option.
Edit again: I had a small misunderstanding about how roomtrapping works.
