On Thanksgiving I was cooking soup and I used up all I repeat alllll of my parsley and I still didn't think I could really taste the parsley in the soup. So I called my friend who was at Walmart to see if they had any parsley there he could buy. But they didn't have parsley at Walmart. The regular grocery store I go to where I bought my not-enough parsley is closed already at this point, a few hours before the meal. So I go to the little Mexican market down the street which is still open. I ask them if they have any parsley. But all they have is cilantro. So I don't buy it but then they try to sell me their homemade guacamole, which apparently they just made. And of course being me I can't resist, because it's guacamole, even though guacamole really has nothing to do with Thanksgiving. I bring back the guacamole and it's probably the sharpest, most cilantro-y guacamole I've ever had. I put some on bread but really no one wanted to eat my guacamole that day cause it was Thanksgiving.
