SpoilerEither Zelshi-Raysons didn't know this planet was inhabited until we arrived, or they knew, but there was no time to move the ship and gtfo before... well, what we're in the middle of now.
Also, someone will have stay to fly the ship completely out of the planet's gravitational pull. So, pretty much Cobalt, anybody else is suicide, and even Cobalt might end up getting integrated into the rest of the ship. (But, we might be able to get Mors to rescue her. For better or worse.)
There'd also be the risk of the infected ship turning around and heading back to Ellovahna, which will likely be the nearest planet. even if successful.

If we blow up the ship, it will only control the infection aboard it; Kelda's also infected with same, although she might leave before it progresses enough to threaten this planet. Just which ever planet she lands on. Als[-snip-]
