The cat is temporary until we fix the original host. We're (hopefully) not trying to handicap ourselves by turning one of our sick crewmembers into a not-sick cat.

I get that, but I'm arguing that a healthy cat would be worse compared to a sick Gondii host. Cleo can semi-control her current host for the time being, there is no need for a temporary cat.
