The fox is wearing a blue, circular amulet. Possibly it was in a footrace and it came in, like, seventh or something, so it got the Cobalt Medal. Also, wherever it is, there's probably a lot of wind, which is why the ears are bent askew.
Foxes are crepuscular mammals known for being clever. They are closely related to dogs. The word "crepuscular" is a great word, and I encourage you to use it a lot.
