Derrick: You said damage control... What did you mean by that?
Garreth: Remember when I told you I get weird deja vus?
Derrick: Yeah.
Garreth: Well, today I got a really weird one.
Garreth: And I've noticed that a lot of the time it's important to take them seriously than not.
Derrick: What was your deja vu about?
Garreth: In the lunch room today. When Lexii and I were telling you about our dreams...
Garreth: Did you notice Alice at all?
Derrick: She was looking at me.
Garreth: Yes. Though I distinctively remember that look.
Garreth: It's haunting, the look gave me chills.
Derrick: Well, she's harmless. How does this explain damage control?
Garreth: ....
Garreth: Come with me.
Derrick: You said damage control... What did you mean by that?

Garreth: This might be a weird question, but do you trust your sister?
Derrick: ..... Why are you asking me this?
Garreth: Just the way you talk about her, it's like she can do no wrong.
Garreth: Hasn't she ever made you feel bad, or done something you didn't like?
Derrick: ..... Well, There was the time with Lucia...
Derrick: But I talked to her about that, and she said it wasn't her fault.
Garreth: And Lucia, the girl in your dreams... She has talked to you about that?
Derrick: .... Yeah.
Garreth: Do you trust her?
Derrick: Of course I do!
Garreth: Well, what does she say about your sister?
Derrick: ......
Garreth: Ahh. Nothing good I assume.
Garreth: The reason I pulled you out of class is because you're living life in front of clouded glass.
Garreth: And this concerns the safety of you, me and our friends.
Derrick: .......
Garreth: When that glass becomes clear, I want you to know that it's okay to feel anger.
Garreth: It's not okay to act on it.
Garreth: Do you understand?
Derrick: Again, why are you asking me this?!
Garreth: Dude, do you understand?
Derrick: Yes...
Garreth: As I said before, I can't explain exactly where this feeling of mine is derived from other than deja vus. Things that I feel have happened before.
Garreth: If you and I can get to the bottom of this, it'll benefit everyone.
Garreth: How are you in a fight?
Derrick: .... I've never fought....
Derrick: I mean...
Derrick: I guess there was a time I put two people in the hospital.
Garreth: Really? Why'd you do that?
Garreth: You seem rather timid...
Derrick: They were trying to mess with my sister.
Derrick: I don't take that lightly.
Garreth: Ahh, you're protective of her.
Derrick: Of course!
Derrick: No one understands that she's kept me going through my loneliness and depression all of the years since our parents died.
Derrick: She's been my anchor for sanity. I would be lost if not for her.
Derrick: And she's all the family I have left.
Derrick: I would kill for her.
Garreth: .... What if she betrayed you?
Garreth: Someone you hold so high, taking advantage of you, or abandoning you. That would crush your world, wouldn't it?
Derrick: ...... She would never do that.
Garreth: Never?
Derrick: Never.
Garreth: Haven't you ever heard the saying "never say never"?
Derrick: ... I have but--
Garreth: Then you understand it means you can't confirm what will never happen and what might.
Garreth: You don't know what people are like when you're trapped inside your own head.
Garreth: If she hurt you, would you forgive her?
Derrick: Of course, she would never hurt me on purpose.
Derrick: I'd forgive her for anything.
Garreth: Even hurting a friend?
Derrick: ... That's...
Derrick: I would need to hear her side of it.
Garreth: What about the other person's side? Does it not matter?
Derrick: It matters! But...
Derrick: ......
Garreth: Do you see?
Garreth: You instinctively assume your sister is perfect.
regardless of who vouches against her.
Garreth: I'm not saying you shouldn't support your sister. Just that you should hear the whole story of something, before jumping on her side.
Garreth: Also, I hope I don't come off in a bad light for telling you this. I'm still your friend, I also don't mean to tell you what to do, but just to consider some ideas.
Derrick: ......
Garreth: Trust is sacred. Especially with certain people. You may not think or feel it now, but...
Garreth: Sometimes certain people can bring out a whole new side of a person.
Garreth: A side that once out, can't be returned.
Garreth: You're a good guy.
Garreth: I'd like to see you stay that way.
Derrick: Okay I will.
Garreth: Just remember.
Garreth: Don't do anything crazy.
Garreth: Here, now that that's off my chest, let's go grab some drinks.
Derrick: Okay.
