is homestuck the new homestuck?

I thought the way the kids stories got wrapped up was fine. Extremely underwhelming and predictable, but fine. The Lord English dream bubble stuff on the other hand continues to just be pointless and confusing though. At least the animation was good.

SpoilerI feel like the dream bubble stuff could have at least been salvaged if there had even been a few frames suggesting the any of the remaining characters there actually survived the ending? But instead all we get is just Aradia smiling in the face of what seems like certain death, which fuck that.
