So apparently what happened was a delivery driver from a produce company backed into our actual building, damaging it and the gas main and breaking the gas line underground. When this happened he left without saying anything to anyone, parked his truck somewhere else, and came back to the store. Our manager told him he couldn't come in or be around the store as there was a gas leak, and he responded by telephoning his dispatch and saying we refused the delivery. There was, of course, no mention of the accident or the evacuation. Heaven only knows why he didn't think the fact that we have security cameras outside as well would be relevant.
