Age: Unknown, likely 20 - 25
Species: Prunus
Job: Medic
General info/History: Edel has been a medic for the last 10 years of his life. He has had, from what he tells me, a very lackluster and normal life. He has become extremely associated with tense situations and to this date I have yet to see him panic in the face of even the most horrifying situations.


Info: I have looked in to Edel deeply as I do have a history of doing battlefield work. I have seen people act like Edel for ages. They go through tough situations and pretend they're completely fine. After many of these talks I can conclude that Edel has in fact not been affected by his past events. He freely talks and makes jokes* about the events of the past. He hasn't been traumatized in any way, shape, or form by his field of work.

What does anger Edel is his future as a prunus.

A prunus will at some point root in to the ground, become a tree and bare prunus young. Every single thing about that sets Edel in a rage fit. Even a mention about one of those subjects is enough to cause heavy arguments.

Such as, Edel is hermaphroditic as are most plant based species. Edel absolutely hates this fact, to the point where he absolutely refuses to be called a they and wishes to be called a he. He heavily hates every single thing about what he is and is disgusted by the idea of having children be born from him, as such he decided he wanted to be associated with being a male as the male of many species do not bare the young.

Edel's looming future of becoming a tree has caused him to stray away from close relationships. He becomes angered when one even implies the idea of starting a relationship with him. He will do his best, to scare them away. While I assumed that the reason for his anger was that he didn't want to be reminded of his "death", he told me he only does that because the last thing he ever wants is to have someone rooted down with him, having to watch over a tree for the rest of their life.

His one saving grace is his bird, Almond. She is a highly intelligent bird, able to understand speech and is also able to file papers. Edel takes care of the bird more then he does himself. It seems Almond is the only reason Edel continues on in life as he wishes for Almond, and the many Almonds that come after to have a home they can trust. Edel has put in a request to the captain for more of the birds so that he can start perfecting his flock now.



Conclusion: Sadly there is no treatment for the natural progression of Edel's life cycle. I have asked the whole crew to not speak about aging, courtship, the act of creating children, and trees around him. Thankfully none of those things are common subjects. I have also asked the crew to attempt to not start fights with Edel over petty issues. It seems Cea is the only one who doesn't wish to listen.

Species: Klannec (High class)
Job: Relations Expert
General info/History: I do not know much about Cea's history. He rarely talks about it other then to comment about how rich he was. It seems Cea was highly pampered on his planet. While high class klannecs are certainly pampered Cea seems to been on a level even higher then the usual high class.

Cea's lack of talking about his past has forced me to do some digging. There's a large lack of info on Cea and his family as it seems the day Cea left his home was destroyed by a fire. The timing of that could not have been more coincidental. I don't want to assume anything but the vibes I got from reading the article about it did not make me feel very safe about Cea.

In this article I saw a picture of Cea leaving with a low class servant. This servant wasn't with Cea when he joined our crew so I asked him what happened to him. I assumed Cea had to fire him due to lack of money, but Cea just stared at me for a few seconds completely still. He got up and left for his room, only saying "He was killed" as he left. I have to wonder who killed him.


Info: The first thing I noticed about Cea was his intense flirting. The second he got on this ship he attempted seducing anyone in his range. I'm not quite sure where this need to flirt comes from but it doesn't seem to put any negative toll on Cea personally. He has never taken rejection too badly and is quick to move on to the next person after being rejected. While he is quick to take up any approvals he gets he seems to soon become bored of most relationships. The longest standing one I have watched was with Citrine. That relationship was only broken up because Citrine had issues with Cea's self centeredness. I am unsure what made Citrine different from most of his other relationships.

Oddly Cea seems to instantly reject any offers of a relationship that he himself did not bring up.

While reviewing Cea, Cea seemed very imaginative, able to pull out his thoughts quite quickly. What worried me the most though, was him talking about this "Sonny." Sonny is an imaginary friend from Cea's childhood. He speaks extremely highly of Sonny and told me Sonny was his best friend. This raised more then a few red flags.

While an imaginary friend isn't rare, the attachment Cea has is unhealthy. While Cea has promised he would get Sonny out of his head soon, he never seems to make good on those promises.

I have a theory on Cea that might explain most of his actions. I believe Cea, like a drakon, has mind related abilities. Now I understand that klannecs do not have such powers but it is the only way I could explain how Cea seems to know more then he should. Cea is able to, well, it's hard for me to explain in words so I'll be writing examples on here.

1. When I first wrote down Cea's info, I had put down that I predicted he was about 30 years old because he didn't tell me his age. Minutes later he opened my door, stuck his head in and said "Marble dear I will have you know I am younger then that." and exited in a huff.
There's no way he could have seen my paper, I hadn't even finished writing it.

2. On a mission, Captain Latta and me found a chest in the middle of nowhere. Captain Latta was about to open this chest when Cea ran up to us* and pushed Latta away. He then informed us that the chest was a trap. After a quick investigation, this turned out to be true. There's no way for Cea to have even known where we were. He was at the ship the whole time.

3. I decided to test Cea's "omni-vision" and when he sleeping I switched his coffee with Latta's blood. Both his usual coffee and the blood were nearly identical. I had Slate get him up for his breakfast and even before he left his room he asked Slate to make his usual coffee, not put Latta's blood in his cup.

Evidence points that maybe he has the "Familiar effect" that many drakons, especially young ones get. A drakon will sometimes imagine an animal, person, or beast known as a "familiar" that they "summon" to help them do actions such as fly and lift objects off the ground. Normally the drakon feels as if they have no powers and it's in fact their familiar that is helping them. Usually as the drakon ages this familiar "dies" and they realize it's been them doing everything all along.

I know there are holes in this idea. For one Cea isn't a drakon, his species shouldn't have any mind powers, and to be honest I'm unsure how Cea would be reading my mind as I've never been affected by mind powers in my life, but it has to be that. Sonny has to be some made up familiar Cea made...right?


There is one thing Cea told me that I'm worried about. He told me when he gets to Fortuna he plans to wish Sonny in to existence.

I know bringing the dead back to life is the worst thing one could ever do.

But what happens when someone brings something that doesn't even exist in to reality?


Conclusion: The only issue I see with Cea is Sonny. I don't know how to help him with this as he refuses help and all the usual techniques don't work on him. While Sonny doesn't affect Cea's life too negatively, it seems "Sonny" controls some of Cea's choices. It's not healthy to have an imaginary friend pick what you can and cannot do.

* Cea is one of the fastest runners I've ever seen. While he normally struts across rooms at a slow pace, when he has reasons to run he quickly outpaces everyone on the crew. I have never seen someone dodge attacks with such ease.

[The center of the universe is dangerous, isn't it? With an extra ship we can split up when we get to that juncture, this'll act as a failsafe so that we can reach fortuna even if our visit to the center of the universe goes bad. Getting another ship also allows us to recruit potentially useful crew members if we come across any(Well, if we come across more than one, anyway.), without sending any of our current crew members away and costing us morale. On top of that, we don't have a lot of ships available at the moment and we wouldn't mind unlocking a new one in the spirit of planning ahead.]

Explain to me this then co-player. Which one of us in going to the center of the universe? When we split up you won't be able to see or hear what I'm doing, and I won't be able to hear or see what you're doing. Clearly I need to go to the center of the universe because I want to, and you need to go to the center of the universe because you need to speak with the limbo god. There's only one ship that can get us there. Do the math co-player, someone one is going to need to watch over the other ship unless you want a large risk of it getting blown up when we're not looking! I predict the middle of the universe will count as our 4th planet. The 5th planet is Fortuna. Do you think a ship will be able to make that Fortuna roll without help?

Mind this one panel update, there was a lot of writing to do and I just didn't want there to be a weird gap in Athena talking. Athena and Helios will also be answering some of the questions posted before that they didn't get around to doing.
