They think Christmas isn't about eggnog or cider,
baubles being hung or standing by the fire.
They say, "Go to church, don't be a stranger.
For our lord and saviour rests in that manger.
There is no Christmas without the divine,
so eat of the bread and drink of the wine."
I say, "No thank you, My Christmas is fine,
and your holy saviour is no baby of mine."
As they insist, I resist; yet they persist, do they want me pissed?
“I have no place near a church's hearth, I celebrate not the acclaimed virgin birth.
Respect my choices as I respect yours, as all Christmas I plan to stay indoors.”
