As Watson grapples with his clinking combatant, his face puffs up... before he expels a burgeoning puff of flame from his mouth into the inner chassis! This will hopefully melt it and soften its grip on the sword which he must not allow to fall in the wrong hands.
The fire leaves a fragrant scent in the air.
Watson should find some way of purifying that sword later, so as to not permit it control of his heart. If it has been conceived of such a process, he is definitely wont to find it out! But in all likelihood he will probably not know of it too soon as his comrades are currently embarking on a quest and investigating such a practice would require contact with... magismiths. Watson is wary of magic. But So why, then, does he have this hesitation of finding them? Will it not be for the betterment of the world to reforge it for use by the honourable? Perhaps when his troop finds time for leisure, he will tackle the task.
