As for me:

Sunday - Rewrote short piece from yesterday and wrote a silly piece.
Monday - Wrote an update for Bee Puns Text Adventure and a Damnable Fisticuffs post.
Tuesday - Did some free writing and prepared an early update for ZooStuck.
Wednesday - Wrote something stupid because I felt sick.
Thursday - Wrote a post for Inexorable Altercation.
Friday - Started ZooStuck and wrote a ridiculous number of updates.
Saturday - Wrote a smaller but still ridiculous number of ZooStuck updates.

A pretty decent week, even if I didn't get that Broken Prophecy update I meant to.
I expect to make a lot of ZooStuck updates this month now that the U4G contest is going, but I'll try to get a good amount of other writing done too.

I wrote the Grand Fiction pieces a day before actually posting them because at first I was expecting to make it one longer post, then decided they worked better as separate ones. Had fun with that and figuring out what to do for Twenty Quest, but I wasn't that happy with most of the short pieces. I don't think I could even rework the Friday one into something I was happy with, it's really slapped-together.

The MSPA Forums were down this week, so I wasn't able to continue my ridiculous update pace on ZooStuck. Regardless, here's what I did this week.

-Sunday: Wrote a script for a scene in Vial.
-Monday: Wrote a short piece.
-Tuesday: Wrote a Broken Prophecy update.
-Wednesday: Started rewriting an old short story and wrote a GB profile.
-Thursday: Started writing a rough draft of a short story.
-Friday: Finished rewriting the old short story and started significantly rewriting rough draft from yesterday.
-Saturday: Wrote more for the short story.

I'm actually pretty happy with most of my writing this week; the Broken Prophecy update wasn't my best, but at least I got it moving again. Monday's short piece was fun, and working on an old story was a bit of a pain, but I'm glad I did it.

And yes, I've been working for a while on one short story; I'm planning to submit it for publication in an anthology. The deadline for that is Thursday at midnight, so I need to work fast. I expect to get the rough draft finished today and then I'll have four days to tweak it.

My writing this week:

-Sunday: Finished rough draft of a short story.
-Monday: Began rewriting short story.
-Tuesday: Continued rewriting short story.
-Wednesday: Got as far as I was up for on second draft, started writing third draft.
-Thursday: Finished third draft and fourth draft and did some tweaking. -Friday: Wrote a short piece.
-Saturday: Wrote a Consistency update.

So I spent most of the week working on a short story. Sent it off Thursday, it wasn't nearly as polished as I'd like. I'll pick it up again sometime, but not for a while.

I found a little trick that helped me get all that writing done in so few days: I got up early, and started writing before doing anything distracting. I didn't have to write a huge amount; just by getting myself to work on it at all, I was in more of a mood to keep writing throughout the day.

I feel like I'm not great at checking on who's been writing. This week provides an example, as I post this before getting an answer from anyone other than me.

So, my own work as usual:

-Tuesday: Wrote a script and a short dialogue.
-Wednesday: Wrote a script and a short piece.
-Thursday: Started writing a script and wrote a silly story.
-Friday: Wrote a short piece.

The scripts were for writing club, that's our focus this month. I still need to tweak my script from Thursday, I'll do that tonight.

Also, if there are people out there with character and setting ideas they'd like to see me write for, this is a reminder to toss them into the Dimensional Federation thread.

Okay, between my infrequent checks, the fact that people often aren't around when I do check, and the fact that people keep dropping off the list, I think it's time to change what we're doing.

Possible idea: A writing exercise of some sort each week? The exercise would be optional, but it would mean everyone would have a specific task to focus on if no other writing came to mind.

I also don't get a lot of feedback on this thing, maybe writing exercises would help with that too.

Or I could just do a Writing Exercises thread where every week someone suggests a thing to write and then whoever wants to can write that thing. In fact, I think I'll just go and do that; it won't be directly related to this thread but I could note the exercise in here every week.
