SpoilerIn mermaid society, names always alternate vowels and consonants, and always end in a vowel. Here are some examples of valid names:
"Taco"
"Potato"
"Ego"
"One" is an example of a name that is one syllable, despite having two vowels!
Here are some invalid names:
"Enemy" doesn't work because Y is a consonant. So is W and R.
"There" doesn't work because T and H are both consonants and they are next to each other.
"Iron" doesn't work because it ends with N, which is a consonant
Of course, you don't have to follow these rules. It's just mermaid tradition but you can have whatever name you want. If you break the rules though, expect the other mermaids to CONSTANTLY ask you "oh that's an unusual name, what's it mean/where's it from/etc"
