Okay so the downlow is that I sometimes, very occasionally, play around in Gamemaker. I also now sometimes play around with making music that I think would belong in a video game (Possibly my own). I'm not very experienced at music outside of a huge appreciation for the sounds of the video games, but I am having fun and I'm sure that's what matters or some shit.

I don't have any complete tracks, in fact I literally only have two things that are both less than 10% complete (maybe 5%. Neither is longer than 20 seconds) but I wanted to make a thread, okay, just, man third-degree itt.

This is the thing https://soundcloud.com/lochbriar

SpookyOST is the very basic run of what I feel is a good cave theme, which I intend to work on with a specific game idea that I hope to convince myself to get to.

War Theme is a bit more open to what it could be, but it started with the drum bit at the beginning, which felt like the DRUMS OF WAR. Though I think a full composition might make a good title theme, and is currently what I'm working on (Like I stopped 30 minutes ago out of being tired).

In both I am using a recreation of the Chrono Trigger Soundfont that I got from here

So, yeah. This is what I'm doing, this is the Project in the Projects forum.

sweet tunes yo. war theme definitely sounds like it's building up to something powerful. can't stop now.

music composing definitely takes a lot of time and patience, but it pays off when you feel the satisfaction of finishing a track.
CT soundfont is also a p good choice for what you're trying to make. I'm guessing you are using FL?
keep at it!

Oh yeah I made this thread.

Well I've already taken down both of the tracks in OP but this one I might actually leave up because I'm actually going to use it, in what probably mostly this form.

As the name suggests, its a track for the opening of a cave. The whole game I'm planning takes place in the cave, so its not particularly special in that regard. But its supposed to be more energetic than the later tracks, which obviously we can't compare them yet because those tracks aren't here.

I'm still deciding on a few exacts on this one, but its otherwise completed. So, uh...Iunno, tell me what you think? Or not, tell me about the weather whatever I'm just posting stuff.
