Anyway, the snakes were a sham. I was visited in the night by a bear in a gray hoodie, who pointed at me. I think that's a sign.

Jacquerel motions at the meat-pulp covered broom in his mouth and shrugs, rolling his eyes.
He waves one hand at the sky and then clasps his hands together in prayer.

When he gets tired of kneeling in the dirt, he waves a weird looking vial of fluids in Solaris's direction and mimes drinking it, then winks.

While waiting for a response he fumbles around with his little hand computer and tries sticking the pointy end into the broom.

And what better way to poison someone then to trick them into stealing the poison themselves? It all just sounds a bit too coincidental to me, like you're trying to set up an alibi for when Ix accidentally poisons himself later.
