It looks like there's a solid potential for passing all the rules. Rule 4, I think, is the hardest to stumble across. Rule 5 though...it's going to require more Belushi-related conversation. RE: Post making contest - OTTO - 08-28-2016 You must be registered to view this content. RE: Post making contest - Dragon Fogel - 08-29-2016 Fun Jim Belushi Facts!* Jim Belushi signed the Declaration of Independence. The Loch Ness Monster was actually Jim Belushi in a costume. Jim Belushi can count to a higher number than any other human being on the planet. Jim Belushi discovered asparagus. Jim Belushi is the only person ever to visit or live in France. Anyone else who claims they did is lying. Jim Belushi wrote this factsheet himself. Jim Belushi can take the form of any animal on Earth. He just chooses to use human form because that's less work. Jim Belushi sold you a dozen donuts this morning. Jim Belushi visits young children at night, and if they put a tooth under their pillow, he takes it and leaves them a quarter. Jim Belushi painted the Mona Lisa. Jim Belushi removed the word "gullible" from the dictioary. *facts not guaranteed 100% true RE: Post making contest - Dragon Fogel - 08-29-2016 Oh yeah, Jim Belushi also removed the letter n from the word dictioary. The orange necrophages munched their way through two thirds of the pangea, the lime green people spent the entire game sulking in their corner and I did a science. I still have absolutely no idea what I'm doing but I did at least have fun? There was a period in the middle where the game devolved into "City Production Queue Management Simulator 2016" and then the war happened. It was interesting. I do not understand combat in this game and neither do the (admittedly easiest level) AI. A battle the initial screen reckoned was 60-40 in my favour was a complete bloodbath when I did it manually (as in both my opponent and I only had one unit left at the end) and then, out of curiosity, I loaded the autosave and auto'ed it instead - only two of my militia died and the entirety of the enemy army bit the dust. part of the problem is that I do not know how to heal units yet There's one area in which I can already see that Endless Legend is massively superior to Civ - the loading times. Like, bloody hell, I can boot up and load a saved game in EL in a tad over a minute, whereas Civ won't have even got to the title screen by then... this may or may not be my laptop at fault, but sheesh... End of message. RE: Post making contest - qwerx3 - 08-29-2016 clearly the solution is to leave civ running on your laptop so you never have to save! RE: Post making contest - Sruixan - 08-30-2016 This is update #235. I was going to do another "Sruix listens to some absurdist semi-music" liveblog for the Other People Network but it's been several hours now and I've barely scratched the surface of this bizarre colossus. I don't know how to describe it. It's almost everything I would ever want from a complex musical artform. It might actually have everything I'd want, mind - I've only got through twenty channels or so. They've all been perfect. Nothing is going to top Vito's Room any time soon and I'm lucky I stumbled across it early but oh my goodness. Just try it out. I haven't come across any naked body sounds yet so you're probably safe. End of message. RE: Post making contest - Sruixan - 08-30-2016 This is update #236. YOU CAN PLAY THE ORIGINAL ROLLERCOASTER TYCOON SCENARIOS IN OPENRCT2 NOW AS IN, WITH THE FIVE-AT-A-TIME UNLOCK PROGRESSION AND CORRECT RESEARCH QUEUES AND BEING ABLE TO CHARGE FOR BOTH PARK AND RIDE ENTRY (and they're working on getting the terrain textures from the expansions in along with other little details like the flat-to-steep slopes on the Junior Coaster) BUT THIS IS JUST SO INCREDIBLY COOL? LIKE HOW LONG DID THIS TAKE THESE PEOPLE?! TODAY HAS BEEN A REALLY GOOD DAY FOR REALLY GOOD THINGS! ...I really need to get myself a proper outlet... End of message. RE: Post making contest - Ixcaliber - 08-30-2016 Hey my good friends I'm here to save us from Belushi Hell by delivering you all into Pirates Hell. You might recognize this ruleset as the Beta ruleset from my recent One Piece ruleset. I'm relabelling the rules from letters to the numbers 1-5 so as to be consistent but I promise they aren't altered or rearranged in any way. Anything that passed for example rule C passes rule 3 etc. Every single rule from this ruleset was based on one of the Strawhats and just so we're clear the Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Usopp and Sanji rules have been identified and passed. These rules are based on the remaining members. A little knowledge/research into One Piece would be helpful to figuring out these rules but none these rules requires One Piece knowledge to pass... if that makes sense. (i.e. none of these rules are like 'must quote an iconic one piece line/impersonate a member of the strawhats/etc'). With all that preamble done lets judge some posts. (I think this is the closest you are to passing the previous rule 5 (lets refer to it as JB5) but it's been a while since that conversation happened and I didn't write the exact specifications of the rules down.) Forest Frontiers: I have beaten this scenario innumerably many times now, and it's almost always the same (apart from, like, when I was much younger) - I beat the objective in a month and a half and then spend the remainder of the year clicking frantically in order to make the most aesthetically pleasing park I can. It's always a blast. End of message. RE: Post making contest - Dragon Fogel - 08-30-2016 My best guesses at Belushi rules: 1. No idea. RE: Post making contest - qwerx3 - 08-31-2016 Belushi was born in Chicago to Adam Anastos Belushi an Albanian from the city of Korçë and Agnes Demetri Samaras Belushi. He was raised in Wheaton, a Chicago suburb, along with his three siblings: older brother John, his sister, Marian, and a younger brother, Billy. After graduating from Wheaton Central High School, Jim Belushi attended the College of DuPage and graduated from Southern Illinois University Carbondale with a degree in Speech and Theater Arts. From 1977 to 1980, Belushi, like his older brother John Belushi, worked with the Chicago theater group The Second City. During this period, Belushi made his television debut in 1978's Who's Watching the Kids and also had a small part in Brian De Palma's The Fury. His first significant role was in Michael Mann's Thief (1981). After his elder brother John's death, from 1983 to 1985 he appeared on Saturday Night Live; he portrayed characters such as Hank Rippy from "Hello, Trudy!" and "That White Guy". Belushi also appeared in the film Trading Places as a drunk man in a gorilla suit during a New Year's Eve party. He made a guest appearance in Faerie Tale Theatre's third season episode Pinocchio, starring Paul Reubens as the titular puppet.Belushi rose to greater prominence with his supporting roles in The Man with One Red Shoe (1985), About Last Night..., Salvador and Little Shop of Horrors (as Patrick Martin) (all 1986), which opened up opportunities for lead roles. He has starred in films including Real Men, The Principal, Red Heat, Homer and Eddie, K-9, Dimenticare Palermo, Taking Care of Business, Mr. Destiny, Only the Lonely, Curly Sue, Once Upon A Crime, Wild Palms, Royce, Race the Sun, Jingle All The Way, Separate Lives, Retroactive, Gang Related, Angel's Dance and Joe Somebody (2001). He also lent his vocal talents for 9: The Last Resort (a PC game released in 1995), in which he portrayed "Salty", a coarse yet helpful character. In 1997, he portrayed the "Masked Mutant" in the Goosebumps PC video game, alongside Adam West as "The Galloping Gazelle". On January 4, 2001, Belushi appeared on the ER episode "Piece of Mind". The episode focused on both Dr. Mark Greene's life-or-death brain surgery in New York and Belushi's character, who had been in a car accident with his son in Chicago. Belushi's performance contributed to his re-emergence in the public eye, and the following year he was cast as the title role in ABC's According to Jim.[7] His first animation voice-over was as a pimple on Krum's head in Aaahh!!! Real Monsters on Nickelodeon. That performance led him to be cast in the continuing role as Simon the Monster Hunter in that series, where he ad-libbed much of his own dialogue. In 2003, Belushi and Dan Aykroyd released the album Have Love, Will Travel, and participated in an accompanying tour. He also performs at various venues nationwide as Zee Blues in an updated version of The Blues Brothers. He released his first book, Real Men Don't Apologize, in May 2006. Recently, Belushi was a narrator of an NFL offensive linemen commercial. Belushi also introduced the starting lineups for the University of Illinois football team during ABC's telecast of the 2008 Rose Bowl.Belushi started to take interest in his Albanian ancestry. During his visit to Tirana on November 11, 2008, he received the order Honor of the Nation from the President of Albania, H.E. Bamir Topi. On October 9, 2009, he received Albanian citizenship. He appeared in MC Hammer's video "Too Legit to Quit" in 1991 (in the extended full-length version). He also hosted a celebration rally for the Chicago Cubs playoff series in Chicago prior to the 2008 World Series. Steve Dahl has dubbed him "The Funniest Living Belushi." In 2010, Belushi was cast in a pilot for CBS called The Defenders a series about defense lawyers. The one-hour series premiered on September 22, 2010. In two episodes in 2011, Belushi was paired with Blues Brothers partner Dan Aykroyd. On May 15, 2011, The Defenders was canceled by CBS. In 2011, he was cast as corrupt businessman Harry Brock in Born Yesterday, which opened on Broadway in late April. Belushi has been married three times and has three children. He married Sandra Davenport on May 17, 1980, and the couple had a son, Robert James (also an actor, born October 23, 1980). Belushi was married to actress Marjorie Bransfield from 1990 to 1992. He has been married to Jennifer Sloan since May 2, 1998. The couple has a daughter, Jamison Bess (born July 28, 1999), and a son, Jared James (born February 8, 2002). Belushi is closely linked to his Albanian heritage and received honorary Albanian citizenship from the President of Albania, Bamir Topi. Belushi is an avid fan of the Chicago Blackhawks, Chicago Bears, Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bulls and the Chicago Fire Soccer Club. In 2011, Belushi announced that he suffered from gout, and became a spokesman for Savient Pharmaceuticals' educational campaign "Check Out Your Gout". He has also appeared on the cover of and been interviewed by Cigar Aficionado magazine. Belushi endorsed the re-election campaign of Democratic President Barack Obama in 2012. On a Fox News interview, he explained, "When you talk to the President in private, he's a cool guy, that knows what he's doing. Besides, I'm from Chicago too."
