RE: Cosmic Encounter - PBP: Deep Space Water - ProfessorLizzard - 02-04-2017 HYPERSPACE GATE Offense: 2 Defense: ReacotC(3) Tourist invites Yin-yang and Voyager. Who does the Reactor invite? ((Note: clearly next game i should include the Foreign Aid variant, where you can use cards as bribes to get invited)) RE: Cosmic Encounter - PBP: Deep Space Water - Robust Laser - 02-05-2017 Everybody's invited! Come one, come all! RE: Cosmic Encounter - PBP: Deep Space Water - ProfessorLizzard - 02-05-2017 Order of acceptance: 1. Voyager (any) 2. Yin-yang (any) 3. Laser (defense only) RE: Cosmic Encounter - PBP: Deep Space Water - Granolaman - 02-05-2017 Dude CB I hear ya, this is the first action I've seen in like 3 weeks. (But for real having both the Reactor and Yin-Yang as almost essential allies makes the rest of us pretty peripheral) Sending 2 from B, 1 from C to assist my good buddy the Tourist. RE: Cosmic Encounter - PBP: Deep Space Water - Gatr - 02-05-2017 1 from A, 2 from B to Reactor. 1 from C, 2 from E to Tourist. And if I'm allowed, two will go from my colony in Voyager, one to each side. It's going to be an all out "party". RE: Cosmic Encounter - PBP: Deep Space Water - Coldblooded - 02-05-2017 We'll send two ships to join the defense, from planets D and E. RE: Cosmic Encounter - PBP: Deep Space Water - ProfessorLizzard - 02-06-2017 HYPERSPACE GATE Offense: 2 + Ally: 3,4 = 9 Defense: ReactorC(3)+Ally:4,2 = 9 Time for PLANNING phase! RE: Cosmic Encounter - PBP: Deep Space Water - Granolaman - 02-07-2017 Can you confirm that yin-yang can send 8 ships into an encounter? RE: Cosmic Encounter - PBP: Deep Space Water - ProfessorLizzard - 02-07-2017 They are separate alliances, so they can do so, and i have resolved it thus. What Gatr was asking was about launching ships from foreign colonies though, i thought (which is also confirmed). RE: Cosmic Encounter - PBP: Deep Space Water - ProfessorLizzard - 02-07-2017 Tourist plays: 11 Reactor plays: 14 HYPERSPACE GATE Offense: 2 + Ally: 3,4 + 11 = 20 Defense: ReactorC(3)+Ally:4,2 + 14 = 23 Any objections? RE: Cosmic Encounter - PBP: Deep Space Water - Jacquerel - 02-07-2017 I will play +5 Reinforcements RE: Cosmic Encounter - PBP: Deep Space Water - ProfessorLizzard - 02-07-2017 Tourist plays: 11 + 5 Reactor plays: 14 HYPERSPACE GATE Offense: 2 + Ally: 3,4 + 11 + 5 = 25 Defense: ReactorC(3)+Ally:4,2 + 14 = 23 The stakes.... are getting higher.... RE: Cosmic Encounter - PBP: Deep Space Water - Robust Laser - 02-08-2017 I play +3 Reinforcements. RE: Cosmic Encounter - PBP: Deep Space Water - Jacquerel - 02-08-2017 Well I have another idea but it won't really benefit my friends very much. Anyone else want to chip in? Otherwise I'll just go to plan B. RE: Cosmic Encounter - PBP: Deep Space Water - Granolaman - 02-08-2017 VOYAGER SHIPS DEPLOY LIZARD CANNONS ENGAGE +2 REINFORCEMENTS RE: Cosmic Encounter - PBP: Deep Space Water - ProfessorLizzard - 02-08-2017 Tourist plays: 11 + 5 + voyager 2 * 2 Reactor plays: 14 + 3 HYPERSPACE GATE Offense: 2 + Ally: 3,4 + 11 + 5 + 4 = 29 Defense: ReactorC(3)+Ally:4,2 + 14 +3 = 26 If no other reinforcements happen, or trickery, this is the final score. RE: Cosmic Encounter - PBP: Deep Space Water - ProfessorLizzard - 02-09-2017 Final result: the Laser ships go to the warp, the Tourist, Voyager and Yin-yangs ships land. Yin-yang flashes their super flare: where will your four ships on the defense return to? Due to there being 4 Yin-yang ships on the offense, reactor may keep 0,1,2 or 3 ships on their planet. How many there will be? Fun fact: after this encounter, every single reinforcement cards will be in the discard pile. Beware... RE: Cosmic Encounter - PBP: Deep Space Water - Gatr - 02-10-2017 put 1 ship on each of my home colony planets edit: and repeat this action for the offense's ships.. RE: Cosmic Encounter - PBP: Deep Space Water - Robust Laser - 02-10-2017 I mean, we COULD get up and go to the warp, but we just got comfortable in our spots so we're just gonna all three of us stay here. RE: Cosmic Encounter - PBP: Deep Space Water - ProfessorLizzard - 02-10-2017 Current game state: Granolaman, the Voyager Hand: 14 Foreign colony count: 2 A: 4 B: 3 C: 3 D: 1 Gatr, the Yin-yang Hand: 4 Foreign colony count: 2 A: 2 B: 2 C: 2,1 D: 1,1 E: 2 Coldblooded, the Laser Hand: 5 Foreign colony count: 2 A: 3 B: 3 C: 3 D: 2,2 E: 2,1 Robust Laser, the Reactor Hand: 6 Foreign colony count: 2 A: 4 B: 1,3 C: 3,4,3,2 D: 3 E: 3 Cards on the reactor sheet: Laser flare Jacquerel, the Tourist Hand: 8 Foreign colony count: 3 A: 2 B: 2 C: 3 D: 1,2 E: 2 Cruise Liner: Blue system; 1 HYPERSPACE GATE THE WARP: 6,7,5,2,3 VoyagerE: Cosmic Deck: 27 cards Cosmic Discard: 28 cards Destiny Deck: 7 cards Destiny Discard: 13 card Will tourist have a second encounter? (encounter #11) RE: Cosmic Encounter - PBP: Deep Space Water - Jacquerel - 02-10-2017 Don't mind if I do. RE: Cosmic Encounter - PBP: Deep Space Water - ProfessorLizzard - 02-10-2017 It is time for some Regroupin'. RE: Cosmic Encounter - PBP: Deep Space Water - Jacquerel - 02-10-2017 I will regroup a ship to B, not symmetrical because one ship is a different colour but it will have to suffice. RE: Cosmic Encounter - PBP: Deep Space Water - Gatr - 02-10-2017 Shouldn't the Yin-Yang flare be on Reactor's sheet? I'm making sure because I don't want to be blindsided by an auto-win condition. I'm not even really sure how it works. RE: Cosmic Encounter - PBP: Deep Space Water - ProfessorLizzard - 02-10-2017 The yin-yang flare is in your hand. Flares don't get discarded after use unless stated on the card (aristocrat and host stated so), so the Reactor couldn't grab it. Reactor still has the Laser flare on their sheet. A ship returns... Destiny is drawn: Orange! But before that, it is time for cruiseshipping. |
