Inspired by "The Leak" thread on the SCP wiki, this is a general place for authors of cosmosdex articles to post things that wouldn't have made sense to include in its cosmosdex entry. Thing's that most people in universe don't know about, the D E E P L O R E. Or just things you couldn't figure out how to include or weren't important enough to be mentioned. I wouldn't take anything in this thread as hard cannon, since gime has final say on what is and what isn't canonical, so take these more as author headcannons than cold, hard, metal canons.

The resulting tire fire of a thread can be linked at the bottom of the Notail Asssassin article for future internet arguments archivists to enjoy.

The rules are the same as last time, I'm trading data entries for doodles, species tickets, and we even got a few prizes donated this time! The prize list is as followed.

Also for every 30 entries you do, you get 1 doodle by me. Also just for this raffle, if you do a 100 entries you automatically get a species ticket. HOW TO APPLY / FILL OUT ENTRIES
1. Find a section you want to work on that isn't currently being taken by someone else.
2. Post on the topic that you're doing these sections.
3. Once you are ok'd head to the Submit section of the application type you're doing, as well as open the group of planets you're doing. (Because sections will likely be acting up as things are moved in and out of sections, please put 2 after the url to get an archived version of the entries.)

Use this: https://cosmosdex.com/cosmosdex/planets2/

4. Copy and paste info from the old entry into the submit section, follow any extra instructions from that section and readd any formatting (or at least the linebreaks at the least with [br]). If the section is special or has abnormal formatting put it in its "default" state and post here that the entry has abnormal formatting so I may hand fix it. (This includes things like "rewritten / edited / cowritten")
5. Due to a bug, after submitting an entry, move to another page and then back to the submit area. (do not use the back button) If you do not do this it may not correctly add in your submission.
6. Please have the entries you picked to do finished within 48 hours! You may not take more than 100 entries to do at once.
7. Please make sure that when putting in the name of the entry, to exclude special characters except for -,_,~,and spaces. Aka submit N'nik as Nnik, and α-Quiet as a-Quiet.

Anyway, the rules regarding how it works in function are maintained mostly by the people there.

The structured nature intends to try to stick better to canon than some and help ensure a more consequential series of events.

But What Is A Christmas Tree Exchange?
It's simple! From now until December 1st, you can sign up and post a wishlist of things you'd like to recieve art of. Original characters, species you've made or just like, just straight up concepts you're a fan of, whatever. Preferably Fortuna themed. Then, up until December 25th, you'll make art for as many people that have signed up as you can, but not post them! Then once Christmas rolls around, I'll take everybody's submissions and compile a few posts to show off what's underneath each participant's digital tree

I don't think I can commit to making this much art...
The name of the game here is quantity, not quality. This doesn't mean to just, not try, of course. It means that simply making doodles for other is totally encouraged. And, honestly, if you can't do a ton, that's still fine. As long as you manage to get a few pieces out there, it's fine. Do as much as you feel comfortable doing.
On that note, doesn't have to just be drawn art. If you're a writer and feel like you can do little poems or vignettes, s'cool as well. If you're willing to create, you should be valid to be rewarded.


I'm worried I won't get much art
There's a solution to this, too! Over the course of December, I'll keep the thread updated with information about who is getting more or less art than others! This isn't to like, make people feel bad about how much they're getting, but just to highlight that maybe somebody is being missed, or somebody else has already gotten plenty of attention. Encourage people to make sure nobody's getting skipped over, and everybody gets at least a few nice things. And like, nobody's gonna stop you from making something for somebody who's already got a lot, if you really wanted to draw their character, but maybe while you're at it you can make a little something for somebody you hadn't thought of.


What should I do once I've drawn something?
Send it to me! I'm on Discord in the various Fortuna servers, and the Eagle Time server too. Otherwise, PM me on the site. If you forum PM me I'd prefer it if you'd gather your art in a single message to not hurt my inbox too much but I know how it is. Sometimes you think you're done and then you get the urge to make more. On Discord I have zero problems with you sending me pictures as soon as you're done them. I'll save them until December 25th when I can post them all at once.
I'm participating too, and if you're making a picture for me, you can send it instead to LoverIan on the forums here.

Great! Last time I've participated there was a requirement that you would commit to at least five pictures, but I don't think I'll have that here. I think you should plan on trying to do at least three but y'know, it's the thought that's important.
Make a post in the thread with a wishlist of what you'd like. Format it however you think is best. For OCs having references is ideal, probably a little bit about their personality, feel free to expound in great detail if you think it's necessary. Maybe you'd just like to see your favorite species, or a species you made, in any context. If it can be found in the Cosmosdex, perhaps link the relevant page, for ease of access. Perhaps you'd just like to see certain themes, feel free to mention those! Something that you can say "yes this is specifically tied to what I would like" would probably be good, but it's your list. You do you.

I started working on a Fortuna animation project yesterday afternoon and I already have plenty of progress.
Basically, what this is is to animate Fortuna as if it were an actual video game. This obviously would be a huge project, so at the moment it's just a side one.

At the moment I am in need of music. I have the title screen music by Hermes the Loser (I have permission to use it) but I still need other musicians for the rest of the songs.

I started working on a Fortuna animation project yesterday afternoon and I already have plenty of progress.
Basically, what this is is to animate Fortuna as if it were an actual video game. This obviously would be a huge project, so at the moment it's just a side one.

At the moment I am in need of music. I have the title screen music by Hermes the Loser (I have permission to use it) but I still need other musicians for the rest of the songs.

Q: Can we talk about non-Cosmosdex / Fortuna stuff?
A: Nope! At this moment we are not allowing a general chat, and thus anything that isn't related to the Cosmosdex is not allowed. Sorry about that, that may change later on!

Q: Is this related to the fantuna discord or another one?
A: This is NOT related to fantuna, and is instead an offshoot of the first Fortuna discord chat "Eris chat" that was run by Gimeurcookie until it closed off.

Q: I was banned from Eris chat / another Fortuna chat, can I join this one?
A: Unless you committed something extreme you will be allowed back, though you will be on thin ice so please be on your best behavior. The rules of this chat are far more upfront and relaxed than the other chats so you may do a lot better here.

Q. I don't agree with the rules.
A. Alas, this is a temporary test chat, and the rules are experimental. Should the rules not fit your taste please consider joining fantuna, a chat that stays up year-round. As the rules on the seasonal chat are looser we fully understand that it might not be as comfortable for some.

Hey, I've been getting a lot of PMs about the last notail class leaders, and PMs are not a very good medium for me, also I believe that there should be a more public area for class leader discussion / claiming so everyone is on the same level.

Please note that filling out the application below DOES NOT mean you automatically claim the spot. The spot will ONLY be taken when I quote an application and state that the person can have it. I am unlikely to comment on applications I do not approve of, and also please don't consider my lack of a comment as an automatic rejection. There is always a possibility I'm waiting to see other applications for that slot. I would like to be a bit more picky about the last few slots.

Note I will also be keeping the time limit for other applications here, as many many slots are currently being held.


SLOTS THAT ARE OPEN

V- Don't have major requirements, will just judge on the concept.

J- Don't have major requirements, will just judge on the concept.
