Question from a new user about forum adventures/games - Taberone - 01-01-2015 Any rules on a screenshot-based forum adventure? Does it have to be MS paint or text only? RE: Question from a new user about forum adventures/games - ICan'tGiveCredit - 01-01-2015 The fun thing is, it's your adventure, it does not have to conform to the limits of a screenshot-based adventure and can take any format you like! RE: Question from a new user about forum adventures/games - Taberone - 01-01-2015 Slightly off topic, but what about Microsoft Paint Adventures and the forum games/adventures over there? RE: Question from a new user about forum adventures/games - ICan'tGiveCredit - 01-01-2015 They take many different artforms. Also, the subforum of Forum Games on the mspaforums has been retired. You can find the game community that migrated after the subforum was retired... uhh... here. And also this place. RE: Question from a new user about forum adventures/games - Schazer - 01-01-2015 Welcome to the forums! No rules on the format you use to tell your story in a forum adventure. Screenshots, photos, collages from cut-up newspapers, claymation, still-watermarked stock photos that barely illustrate the narrative, whatever you like really. Were you introducing us to a video game and taking suggestions for what to do in said game, then it could be construed as a Let's Play instead. Those tend to go in Projects, but I doubt anyone's going to be too fussed. MS Paint Adventures is where most of us started out; there's a forum adventures subforum there where you can tell a suggestion-driven story with whatever pictures/words you like. As Credit said, they had a game subforum but it got shut down and ChocoPi or here would be the place to try do things now. RE: Question from a new user about forum adventures/games - AgentBlue - 01-01-2015 We're not bitter or anything. RE: Question from a new user about forum adventures/games - Taberone - 01-02-2015 Does MPSA require forum adventures to be MS paint? Came there first, considered that possibility(drawing with a mouse sucks), and came here instead. I also registered here because I've done a few forum games/adventures on the Community Projects section of the Blockland forums, but they all died due to lack of replies. RE: Question from a new user about forum adventures/games - Schazer - 01-02-2015 Nope! MSPA's forum adventures can be made in any program. Photoshop, Gimp, Flash, whatever you like. RE: Question from a new user about forum adventures/games - Taberone - 01-02-2015 Also, any way to edit image width/height to avoid pagestretches? On the other forums I go on its . |
