INKTOBER - Plaid - 10-03-2014 Hell ye guys lets get our ink on Inktober is a challenge is which you ink a new thing each day. This can either be from a pencil undersketch or you can grit your teeth and just go straight to pen! I'm a few days late making this thread but hey, when do we not all end up playing catch up with these challenges anyway :v I'm going straight to ink because i haven't practiced drawing that way in far too long. Here's my first three days: Now go rev up your pens and ink a thing! edit: RE: INKTOBER - Schazer - 10-03-2014 Yessss this is a good thread, I'ma post my stuff up to D3 when I get home and finish my D3 (which got a first pass last night at 3am). I will also consider requests lest I draw bugs and non-human OCs all week. RE: INKTOBER - Plaid - 10-03-2014 Actually i'm going to go ahead and post day 4 because i'm doing 24 hour comic day (hence doing it in advance) and i will no doubt forget I am also happy to receive suggestions. I'm looking at you, thread spectators RE: INKTOBER - Mirdini - 10-03-2014 (Pl)rad art Plaid :> Schaz I challenge you to ink up a Game & Watchtopus RE: INKTOBER - Schazer - 10-03-2014 woo ok here are my first three days! D1 was some kind of poorly-referenced arachnid mishmash meant to be Galvantula with Joltiks, D2 is my favourite Japanese insect, D3 is friendly neighbourhood goddess of darkness. Haha damn ok Deens you're on RE: INKTOBER - Schazer - 10-04-2014 D4: An important octopus RE: INKTOBER - Plaid - 10-11-2014 days 5-7: Experimentation with cheap shitty paints for a comicy idea, and more sassy birbs RE: INKTOBER - SleepingOrange - 10-12-2014 I love birds making swears, do more What's the technique you're using to make them all fanciful and patterned on a plain background? Drawing on patterned paper and cutting them out or digital cropping or what? RE: INKTOBER - Plaid - 10-12-2014 I have a terrifying amount of patterned paper so i figured i'd put some of the more floral patterns to use, yes. Then i've been cutting 'em out with my scalpel and sticking 'em in a sketchbook. Despite having a tablet, it's faster doing it by hand than digitally :V RE: INKTOBER - Plaid - 10-12-2014 The watercolour paper ate all the ink out of one of my pens. :l RE: INKTOBER - AgentBlue - 10-13-2014 Don't have a tumbl Don't have punctuality Don't even intend to ink every day but what the hell, they're only going to gather dust in my folder RE: INKTOBER - Schazer - 10-13-2014 Whoops ok have a week's worth of inkthings Fox, first attempt at drawing textured things like feathers+fur. I tried it again to much better effect with these two huias. I'll be pretty satisfied if these end up being the best things I draw this month. This dumbass (note to self: write up a Stoic profile at work tomorrow) I can't help but feel creatively bankrupt when I'm translating a physical object to paper, even though scientific illustration is, like, a thing. Peacock birdbeast, because dailybirdbeast is one of my favourite blogs. Sunday was me and my boyf's anniversary. He likes rabbits, so I drew a bunch of rabbits. This is the best one of the bunch. D11 (I'm 4 days behind now goddamnit) is Chwoka's Shadowrun character, Lydia December. She's almost never this confident-looking, although she's definitely got gunfingers. If anyone has requests I'll happily take 'em (I've got shitall experience drawing humans but I'll have a crack at OCs if you've got references), I've still got 20 of these suckers to do this month RE: INKTOBER - AgentBlue - 10-14-2014 I think I'm doing better at hands RE: INKTOBER - Schazer - 10-15-2014 It's 4 days late but what the hell ever! I drew Gunzelurge, as per Nottles' request. Trains are weird, but I'm rather fond of how her face turned out. RE: INKTOBER - Not The Author - 10-16-2014 She looks rad o: Were those words always there, or are they, like, tats, or...? RE: INKTOBER - Schazer - 10-16-2014 I'm not even sure how warforged are made, to be honest. It could be pre-painted/printed scrap metal she's welded onto herself. I'm almost certain she etched the railway crossing sign on her right shoulder though, and IORE is the name of the individual horse she's spiritually connected to - so the latter she certainly got after defeating the horse in bare-fisted combat. RE: INKTOBER - AgentBlue - 10-16-2014 remember how i said i could do hands i lied RE: INKTOBER - AgentBlue - 10-16-2014 holla holla get dolla RE: INKTOBER - Plaid - 10-24-2014 Birdnanas i dunno ask Schaz RE: INKTOBER - Schazer - 10-24-2014 In other news, D's 13-16 A jackalope An orator Marshmallow beeps And a roller derby babe RE: INKTOBER - AgentBlue - 10-28-2014 there are no words to describe how little this is up to par with everything else RE: INKTOBER - Justice Watch - 10-03-2016 Yooooo inktober 2016 BEGIN I'll have better paper (and ink) later RE: INKTOBER - Justice Watch - 10-05-2016 Okay okay good paper for real tomorrow RE: INKTOBER - OTTO - 10-06-2016 You must be registered to view this content. RE: INKTOBER - Plaid - 10-06-2016 I... don't remember I've gotten 1 inktober done this year and i have the intention to keep with it but i'm so bad with mental illness right now that my attention span is about 5 minutes if i really concentrate So we'll see |
