Forum Mao (Mystery Game) - Reyweld - 10-02-2019

This is a game about learning, following, and making secret rules. It is a quick romp that is much simpler than Mao with cards, and requires no tangible commitment as anyone can play or drop out at anytime without influencing the game.

How to Play
  • Right after this post, I will post 1. To play, post contributing to the sequence: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10.
  • You win a round of Forum Mao if you post the legitimate 10, at which point you submit a new rule to me and start a new round at 1.
  • A post breaking any rule is illegitimate, and does not contribute to the sequence. A list of the initial rules are below.
  • Please do not edit or delete any posts! An edited post cannot be counted as I won't know the original content. Also, don't purposely edit posts as a strategy.
  • After a legitimate 10 post is posted, I will make a post as soon as I can signalling that the round is over, and disclose the sequence of posts that ended the game.
Initial Rules

Note that these rules can be broken on purpose. Rules made by winners will not be disclosed, so you will have to pay close attention to them.
  • No double posts, or any post after a post by the same user.
  • The 7 post must contain "have a nice day" and the next post must contain "thank you" (formatting and capitals don't matter).
  • The 10 post must contain "Mao" (formatting and capitals don't matter).
Making Rules

When making a new rule, it must:
  • Not be reliant on information dependent on a particular poster, or particular groups of posters, unless it it applies equally to everyone.
Unacceptable Example: "The 5 post must be posted by someone with an E in their username." Acceptable Example: "The 5 post must contain an E for each E in the previous poster's username."
  • Not escape the scope of the thread.
Unacceptable Example: "The 9 post must also be posted in the tricked thread." Acceptable Example: "The 9 post must quote the correct 8 post."
  • Not be overly intricate or complex, especially in terms of checking whether or not a post follows it, or use special knowledge.
Unacceptable Example: "Each post must contain a number for each digit in the post number equal to that number divided by the sequence number."Unacceptable Example: "Each post must contain a prime number unique to the round."Unacceptable Example: "Each post must contain an explanation of the current political environment of {insert country here}."
  • Not be impossible to follow.
Unacceptable Example: "The 7 post must not contain 'have'."Acceptable Example: "Apart from the 7 post, no other post can contain 'have'."
  • Not be made to make you win again, like a post only influencing 10 that would be impossible to example before the end of the round. Because that's silly.
Preferably submit rules through discord, although ET PM's work just as well. If you don't know whether a rule is acceptable, just ask. When you are submitting, I'll workshop the rule with you if I think it needs work.

Winners / Sequence Masterlist
1. Numbers - #12
2. Justice Watch - #53
