Ok so you seem to have a knife, a two way radio that seems to have a slot for a tape, a tape, a candle and some matches you count 5.
In front of you is a candle and a typewriter, on the typewriter there is a note that reads "sorry you can't save your progress here".

You go to talk on the radio. You say “hello is there anyone that can hear me”. You hear a hushed voice reply “i'm here.” the voice pauses “i'm hiding from those things right now.” You hear a dry chuckle “they can hear me but not get to me for now” “the hotel has quite a few id suggest trying to clear them out and try to get supplies” it pauses again“but do as you will.” You hear a pained laugh “But there is only so much food”
