mutant material (a text adventure) - yellowjacket - 03-12-2017 2 weeks later after cryopreservation you have suddenly awakened from your prolonged slumber you are inside a lab, cold, naked you check to find your clothes around the lab they are in the closet by the corner of the room close to the double doors you put them on the whole entire facility is deserted you're wondering if the zombie apocalypse had already taken place and managed to overthrow the entire human race of course not, you remembered the clip when neil degrasse tyson was discussing the improbability of a zombie apocalypse ever happening and so on nothing out of the ordinary comes out other than the total desolation around the place you finally approach a long hallway to the exit. as you reach closer to the doors, you seem to wonder what the world may look like. so far, you know that there haven't been any changes to the interior of the facility; no new technology or whatnot. humanity has dramatically changed. the lack of responsibility, absenteeism for lack of a better word. what's the big deal of letting all your responsibilities go without reason? has humanity finally dropped to their knees? few minutes pass after your little philosophy trip. you're a few feet away from the doors. you start to hear sounds of people hollering, mixed with sounds that don't sound human at the very least. you hesitate to little as you come aware of the reality in this time. there's disorder out in the streets. is there a war between alien and humans? doesn't sound bad really. it sounds convincing for the most. you slowly open the doors. a monstrous roar comes along. a gust of wind abruptly thrusts open the doors and shoves you down to the floor. you pick yourself up quickly and see monsters roaming across the street. throwing shit, destroying shit. it's a hellscape. it's like the purge only with fucking monsters. everything you knew and saw from your past life till now sheds like dead snake skin. the world has become completely absurd and dissonant. and you might as well be the only human alive in this animalistic wasteland. what's your destiny from now on? Inventory: None. Clothing: red plaid shirt, khaki pants. basic survivalist attire. RE: mutant material (a text adventure) - Arcanuse - 03-12-2017 you will be jake, the guardian of statefarm. As soon as you figure out what a statefarm is, you will guard it. RE: mutant material (a text adventure) - yellowjacket - 03-13-2017 you are now jake. you now wonder to yourself what a "state farm" is. it could probably be a farm that's about the size of Mississippi. that's just a literal definition, of course. you say to yourself, "maybe i should find a pocket dictionary." there is a bookstore at the other side of the street, three blocks to your left. now you must figure out how to cross over this hellish river of hooligans. a gun won't certainly won't get you through. personally, you hate guns. they kill anything with a heart or a mind... or both. there must be a safer route to get to the bookstore. RE: mutant material (a text adventure) - SC - 03-14-2017 open console, type in "give all" (without quotes), profit? RE: mutant material (a text adventure) - Arcanuse - 03-14-2017 >Anything useful in the facility? Seems a reasonably low risk way to obtain supplies. Plus, maybe the fighting will move away from the bookstore while you look. RE: mutant material (a text adventure) - Kíeros - 03-15-2017 > Moonwalk over. Everyone will be too amazed by your coolness to attack you. RE: mutant material (a text adventure) - Mayu_Zane - 03-20-2017 Check facility for anything useful |
