Trees can be made into paper. Do you know who else has paper? The government. Therefore, the government is actually making all the paper.

RE: Fallacy Debate Thread - Kíeros - 11-13-2016

Here's proof the moon landing was faked:

1) The moon is made of cheese
2) Neil Armstrong walks on cheese every day
3) Neil Armstrong walked on the moon

HOWEVER, this is a fallacy, so that last statement must be wrong, and so nobody walked on the moon.

RE: Fallacy Debate Thread - Reyweld - 11-13-2016

Am I a human?
1)Humans are not blue.
2)I'm blue.
3)Da ba dee da ba die

Conclusion: I am not a human.

Fallacies aren't bad. I used one in a debate once and I totally won so they must be okay.

Ludicrous! As you can see my opponent is against the very idea of using grains to build our nation. I suppose next he'll want to swap 6's and 9's!

As you can see, as my argument uses a lot of facts and information that point to the REAL truth about all this that we're experiencing, this huge argument of which we are all taking part for which I am providing such good arguments, I therefore must conclude that I, me, the one talking the most in one singular sentence and conveying a lot of information, am to be declared the winner.

RE: Fallacy Debate Thread - Dragon Fogel - 11-14-2016

Some people might say we could just stop this argument now, it's going nowhere.

But the fact is, we've already put a whole thirteen posts into it. We can't get those posts back. We might as well finish the argument now that we're this deep in.

I once heard that the ancient Chinese people argued like this.

RE: Fallacy Debate Thread - Reyweld - 11-14-2016

When my opponent mentions "free rice at every intersection", they have mislead everyone. Therefore, because I am a better person, I win.

RE: Fallacy Debate Thread - ICan'tGiveCredit - 11-14-2016

As you can see:

RE: Fallacy Debate Thread - Dragon Fogel - 11-14-2016

You're not even trying, Credit.

That's such a pathetic fallacy.

RE: Fallacy Debate Thread - ICan'tGiveCredit - 11-14-2016

A pathetic fallacy is that i'm supposed to try

RE: Fallacy Debate Thread - Kíeros - 11-14-2016

You're all wrong, because Belgium exists.

RE: Fallacy Debate Thread - SeaWyrm - 11-15-2016

I can imagine a perfect counterargument to your point, Fogel.
Since one of the qualities of perfection is existence, such an argument must exist.
Therefore, you are wrong.

RE: Fallacy Debate Thread - Electrum - 11-15-2016

I didn't hear myself fart therefore I did not fart and the smell everyone else smells is all in their heads. I AM IN THE RIGHT

Actually Belgium is just France under a different name but separated from France in the same way the island of Australia is separated from the country of Tasmania.

RE: Fallacy Debate Thread - Kíeros - 11-15-2016

Well, I think I am right, therefore, I am right. Cogito, ergo sum
