Reyweld, Flower Man - Reyweld - 05-21-2016 This is my secret suprise! I've been taking pictures of some of the flowers in my garden, and I'm going to post them! Unfortunately, all of my daffodils are dead. But I still have many flower pictures, with many more to come!! Here is a red-orange tulip! In the front there were 30 blooming all at once, but I forgot to take a picture and now they're all dying and not as beautiful. Here are three different flowers: Blue Forget-Me-Not in the top right, Purple somethings, and blue valley somethings (that grow like crazy and are really tiny and soft, make up a lot of my lawn): --- Expect at least daily flowers, and I plan on posting more tonight! RE: Reyweld, Flower Man - Whimbrel - 05-21-2016 Golly these are some nice flowers Rey RE: Reyweld, Flower Man - Reyweld - 05-21-2016 Thank you! Some crimson flowers: RE: Reyweld, Flower Man - Gatr - 05-21-2016 nice flowers, man RE: Reyweld, Flower Man - Electrum - 05-21-2016 I hope in the future you raise a talking killer plant and feed it criminals. RE: Reyweld, Flower Man - Reyweld - 05-22-2016 Today's Flower: More Valley Somethings! Also: Black Tulip! RE: Reyweld, Flower Man - Gatr - 05-22-2016 What a lovely garden. I am particularly interested in that koi pond. And I gotta say that valley something picture is satisfying... it's the relatively even distribution of flowers across the picture. RE: Reyweld, Flower Man - Reyweld - 05-22-2016 We used to have koi and goldfish for our pond, but then a heron ate all the koi. We still have goldfish though, but we haven't put them out yet. (we store them inside when its too cold / Winter) More pics coming when I'm more awake. RE: Reyweld, Flower Man - Reyweld - 05-23-2016 Alright, today's flower: A Pink Peony! Please click here for the high definition picture, it's too beautiful not to see. I would like to mention that my mother took this photo; I had taken photographs but hers were way better then all of mine, and I do not want to take her credit. RE: Reyweld, Flower Man - Schazer - 05-23-2016 This might be my favourite Reyweld thread so far Have you seen many pollinators? Everyone's all about the bees but I'm fond of the flies and waspy things and other critters who help spread the plant love. RE: Reyweld, Flower Man - Reyweld - 05-23-2016 (05-23-2016, 01:14 AM)Schazer Wrote: »This might be my favourite Reyweld thread so far A lot of huge fat bumblebees fly around my house, but there are also so many ants, yellow jackets (wasps), and White Wasps that are an invasive species and really scary! I'm not sure if the white wasps pollenate, but they have really strong stingers and bite! A cute bumblebee story is that I was sitting on my front porch while it was raining (I like the smell and sound, very soothing and a more natural white noise for singing in and contemplating life), a bumblebee flew in from the rain and crash landed on my jeans. Then it pulled itself up, rubbed itself on my jeans, and watched the rain with me for 5 more minutes before flying back into it. Events like that make me feel so connected with everything, I can't really describe it well but it was like spiritual. Also, we get these little microbees that visit the tiny millimeter flowers like the valley somethings and the forget-me-not, and they come in a rainbow of shiny colours. We set up bee houses for solo bees to lay their eggs in using old dried plant stalks and store-bought bee houses. I like bees (but not wasps!). RE: Reyweld, Flower Man - Reyweld - 05-23-2016 tldr: I am all about the bees. I am wary of them, of course. I wouldn't want to be near one. But I think they are just dang cool insects. They look angry and predatory all the time, but they have an intricate social order and cool nests. I am saying this because one time, some hornets started building a nest outside my dorm room window. Thankfully, I was in a single room and I never open the window so I just left the hornets there and I got to watch them build and build their nest! It was really cool, and I felt like they were my pets. I think wasps might be my favorite insect. They are certainly the most gatr. RE: Reyweld, Flower Man - Reyweld - 05-23-2016 I would be fine with wasps if I hadn't been stung on multiple occasions by wasps while standing perfectly still. RE: Reyweld, Flower Man - Reyweld - 05-23-2016 Today's Flower: A Magnolia Tree! It was a lot more pretty before, this is like its last breaths of beauty before it reblooms again in early/mid summer. When It's super beautiful, I'll make sure to get a good picture (I have very unsteady hands but we also have a tripod I've been forgetting about). RE: Reyweld, Flower Man - Reyweld - 05-28-2016 Today was too hot (hot damn) and the weekend is going to be 35 with a chance of thunderstorms. There is a very slim chance I take a picture of a flower on those days, so I'll have to give you many flowers later! RE: Reyweld, Flower Man - btp - 05-28-2016 I enjoy these flower pictures. RE: Reyweld, Flower Man - ICan'tGiveCredit - 05-28-2016 thunderstorms are flowers, take pictures RE: Reyweld, Flower Man - Reyweld - 05-31-2016 TREE PEONIES, HELL YEAH! I took this picture, and have it in high definition (click on it)! Look at that beautiful petal! High Definition of that too if you click on it. (this pic was by my mom, that's why it's better) Also by my mom: Please look at all of these in high definition (by clicking on the pics) they are all beautiful pictures and god I love tree peonies. --- These are my favourite flower, and eventually, you will be able to see my favourite variety!!! However, they haven't bloomed yet, so you'll just have to wait... RE: Reyweld, Flower Man - Reyweld - 05-31-2016 Actually, while I have the pictures handy: Pink Columbines! And More!!! And both in High Definition (too)!!! These pictures are by me, also when I get the chance there are purple ones, white ones, blue ones, and more. But I have higher priority flowers that need pics first. RE: Reyweld, Flower Man - Reyweld - 06-11-2016 ALL OF THE FLOWER PICKS!!! This is a Lilac bush (and underneath is a zoom in on those tiny flowers~!) This here is a pink peony, both have high def pics of the above. THIS ONE IS THE BEST IF YOU HAVE LITTLE TIME: Also Good: Irises! There is a pink one, a yellow one (with a little bee and a weird green thing!!!), the purple cosmic one, and another pink one laying down! And a mystery flower! I have no idea what this is. --- What do you want next? More Peonies? Tiny Poppies? Huge Poppies? The Small Yellow Flowers Of That Thing We Grow And Eat? Request now, but I'll probably take pics of all of them anyways. RE: Reyweld, Flower Man - Schazer - 06-11-2016 Can you tell me more about the mystery plant? I like IDing plants and want to try my hand at it. RE: Reyweld, Flower Man - a52 - 06-11-2016 Dandelions. And daffodils, if you have any. There were lots of stems of these little flowers, but I don't really remember anything else... I will be able to give you more of a description tomorrow when I can see them. Fun fact that you probably now: Dandelions are edible. I have had both dandilion tea and dandilion salad, and I'm pretty sure it's also made into alcohol. Of course, you probably already new this, and wow am I tired. |
