Post to Summon Reyweld - Reyweld - 04-13-2016

So my birthday plans are to invite over a bunch of guests for 5 hours and watch movies and play games. I'm planning on making either lava cake, lemon squares, or trifle, or multiple.

What do you think?

Also any party game suggestions can be posted, I've only got one goat to sacrifice though...

Holy shit Rey is your birthday for realsies National Homestuck Day

RE: 4/13 - Plaid - 04-13-2016

All of those things sound fantastic! Heres a recipe for an oreo tart that is delicious and looks like something professionally made but is criminally easy, if you need other ideas

RE: 4/13 - ICan'tGiveCredit - 04-13-2016

For a party like this? You need to sacrifice something real... like a partygoer! Ask for volunteers. They will be entirely complicit in being the life of the party!

Doesn't sound like you're making it enough about you. It's your birthday after all. I've done you the favor of restructuring your first sentence there to assist in this.

You'll have to make sure your guests are unable to see the screen, lest they start watching the movies and/or video games instead of you.

also i've never been to a party that isn't BYOG (bring your own goat) so if the others don't have their own sacrifice goats that's their fault for missing out.

Yes, it is true, I am the legitimate heir of Homestuck.

That looks so tasty! I think I like my choices though, so I'll make it some other time.

This strategy is unsustainable. I invite the same people each year, with an extra person every 2ish years (on average). Eventually, I will run out of guests! So instead, I could ask for volunteers just from the street.

I could take it a step further and make them watch me eat the food too! That way, I don't have to make food to share.

I forgot to put it on the invitations, so hopefully they know this precedent.

RE: 4/13 - Loather - 04-13-2016

cover yourself in pennies and then melt the pennies and you'll have a lifesized bronze sculpture of yourself at very little cost, it's a cool Birthday Trick

But I need to save my Rare Canadian Pennies™ for when they appreciate to a value greater than $0.01 !

RE: 4/13 - ICan'tGiveCredit - 04-13-2016

pennies are not legal tender. You'll have to disguise them as something else.

Fact Seagull Actually, you can totally still use pennies as legal tender. However, businesses have the right to refuse them. You can still use 50 cent coins too, but they are worth more if you sell them to a collector (like 50$ - 7500$ depending on the condition and date). A store would be dumb to refuse those.

This party is tommorow! I am also going to make French Onion Soup, and I already know this recipe is good because my sister made it for my family once. Every guest but one can make it, but I'm worried because I invited over an ex-couple from 2 years ago, and one of them is perfectly over it, and the other is still really bitter.

Anyway, my friends are bringing food too! Someone is bringing juice, another a fruit tray, and another chips (and some more things!)

I've decided on making my homemade lava cake recipe, which is really good and I could share in secret to those who want it as long as they give me credit although technically my grandmother (citation needed) made the recipe I have perfected it, it wasn't very good before but I saw potential in its interesting pour boiling water on it then bake and the water goes to the bottom and turns into a chocolate volcano wow that is a lot of striked out text.

I am going to clean my house so good, it won't know what hit/sprayed/scrubbed/vacuumed it.

On Sunday, I plan on updating my adventure, probably doing Best Hawkspace thread stuff, and maybe even making a SquawkHawk audio thing.

I lead a busy life.

If you can find out where my house is and make it for 6pm, you can come. Hint: I live in Ontario, Canada.

Somehow I thought you were in Saskatchewan.

Maybe I was thinking of someone else.

RE: Post to Summon Reyweld - Dragon Fogel - 04-16-2016

Can you prove Ontario and Saskatchewan aren't the same province?

I know I've never seen them together in the same room.
