Pantheon Simulator - Reyweld - 02-18-2016

It was a typical creation story, with default settings. After all, this was the first time THEY had played the game. THEY had heard from a Friend that it was "... fun, cheap, and a quite open game where you control creation and management of deities ...", to which THEY replied, "k checking it out".

Later, THEY waited as an ominous rod filled, annoying THEM with its slow speed. When it finally disappeared, THEY found themselves staring at nothing. Well, not nothing.

The Vastness was empty, dark, bleak. Vast. Its sheer size was unreasonable, but not to THEM. THEY stretched, and prepared to create their first deities. Who needed to read the tutorial, anyways? Not THEM. Although, it was sort of weird when there was no tutorial even offered...

Make your first god a panther.

Actually, make all your gods panthers. Make a pantheon of panthers.

RE: Pantheon Simulator - Schazer - 02-18-2016

Make your first god the Triarch, the three-faced embodiments of existence, nothingness, and possibility.

RE: Pantheon Simulator - Gimeurcookie - 02-18-2016

Duh, you gotta make the god of tutorials, an annoying -enter inanimate object here-

Make a blue star and one really large cup of water to orbit it.

One might even call it...a Pantheron

How about...

Retric-Mubric, Panther-headed god-thing of measurement, quantities of things, Stat Screens, and incremental advancement

RE: Pantheon Simulator - AgentBlue - 02-18-2016

Before all else, you must have a god of chaos and void, and one of order and existence.

Or maybe mix it up? Have all that exists be chaos and all that is ordered nonexistent.

First THEY created Panthera, the panther god of panthers, with a coat of darkness and claws like hidden daggers. Then THEY made 11 more minor panther gods: Blytheae, Toscana, Schreuderi, Gombaszoegensis, Crassidens, Combaszoe, Uncia, Pardus, Onca, Leo and Atrox. They were all identical in appearance, and spun around Panthera in a ring.

Next came the god Triarch, a pyramid with only three faces visible from any vantage point. On these three faces was a face each. One had a dynamic face filled with expression, acne, birthmarks, scars and tattoos. Another rested in a hesitant smile and partially open eyes and an otherwise unremarkable face. The final face had only two blank eyes, with no mouth, nose or features of any kind. Each represented one of the god’s three aspects: Existence, Possibility, and Nothingness.

THEY made Start, the god of tutorials, a cube with a display screen. Right after its creation, it zoomed to the bottom corner of the universe and pointed itself in a direction now accepted as Theywise.

Retric-Mubric, god-thing of measurements, quantities, Stat Screens, and incremental advancement, took on the form of a pop-up menu. They aligned themselves beside Start, and waited for their time to shine.

Juan, god of Existence and Chaos, was created alongside Zoro, deity of Order and Void. One appeared as swirling pool with ever-changing images, whereas the other looked like a white circle. An image of a panther swirled into view and then disappeared just as quickly.

THEY pressed the button that enabled Forgotten Ones. Retric-Mubric’s red light began to blink, and text filled its screen. Small, annoying beeping noises occurred at regular intervals.

Juan spat out a blue star from its shimmering surface, and one really large cup of water after it. The water began to lazily orbit the star.

THEY tried to enter in “console commands”, but found that there was no menu for which to enter cheats. Instead, THEY tasked Panthera with creating a ridiculous amount of cats. Panthera, with the 11 other panther gods spinning around them in a fast pace, gestured its paws at the cup. Beads of sweat which had been forming on the cup took a new shape, and a layer of cats now dwelled on the cup. Thousands died in a short period, and the cats began to cannibalize, drinking the moist bodies of the fallen to increase in strength.

Finally, the Rod God was created, with a body similar to the previously mentioned ominus bar. It was the master of loading, governing status improvements and patience.

Triarch’s nothingness face sneers at the newer Zoro. Zoro fluxuates.

Panthera scolds Onca and Gombaszoegensis, who seem to be remarking on the quality of the cat swarm.

RE: Pantheon Simulator - Sai - 02-19-2016

Fill the water world with immortal fish that grow smarter and more psychically potent as they age, that they may become a race of enslaving sea creatures by the time that enough eons have passed to allow them to encounter other intelligent life.

RE: Pantheon Simulator - Reyweld - 02-21-2016

THEY disabled forgotten ones shortly after reading Start’s panicky dialogue. Start’s red button and annoying noises ceased. More text filled their screen.

THEY tasked the Rod God with creating a species of fish to inhabit the blue star that would become stronger as they aged. Rod God’s loading bar began filling up. This is going to take a while.

THEY create Canidae, the puppy god of dogs, with their personal entourage of 11: Jack Chi, Labradinger, Jaland, Doxle, Rottaf, Wolamute, Bowzer, Rat-a-pap, Chesador, Pootalian, and Daug. All eleven of which are dog gods of dogs, that look identical.

Immediately, conflict breaks out. Panther gods begin chasing dog gods, which in turn chase other panther gods. Panthera tries to calm their court, while Canidae takes a little puppy nap. In Canidae’s puppy nap, they create a giant dollop of whipping cream onto the glass of water blanketed by cats. Their dreams have an effect on reality, as whipping cream warps into existence. Canidae smells the whipped cream and wakes up, excited!

Triarch has a sexy encounter with Juan and Zoro, and suddenly there are six new deities for everyone to keep track of. Zoro’s children; Juan's Legacy (governs Division), Final Solution (Absolute Zero), and Gentle Decline (Entropy). Juan’s children; Zoro's Progeny (Amalgamation), Larger Than Life (Hyperreality), and That Which Could Be (The Unborn).

Panthera is too occupied to make more cats! However, the cats do this themselves, after discovering two new food sources: water and whipped cream. The cup bulges with cat, looking almost like a planet...

Canidae’s excitement causes them to create billions of puppys in one place, forming a star that looks remarkably like a corgi head.

THEY decide to make Viola, goddess of annoyance. They look like a giant mouth with thin lips and an enormous tongue.

Juan's Legacy and Zoro's progeny: get into heated arguments about how best to organise/sub-categorise the minor deities.

Larger than Life and That Which Could Be: exacerbate the issue.
