Reggie: Infected vessels have one objective. Spread the infection as much as possible.
Reggie: Every realm has an entity strong enough to do what Lethos was trying to do.
Reggie: The infection's goal is to find that one entity, infect them, and have them lower the realm's "shield".
Reggie: When it's down and a hole in created, the OG void creature or possible the lucky ones closer by will enter the realm and destroy it.
Reggie: There's a difference though. Signal strength. This broadcasted infection is only as effective as the infected vessel's ability to spread it.
Reggie: And it works as a chain link. If Samielle for example makes someone crazy, the new crazy person can possibly make someone crazy as well. If they reject the infection they simply go crazy, which can only be ended by being killed or killing the infector. If you kill a crazy person in a link of say, five entities...
Reggie: If the OG infector is still alive the chain will reconnect to the strongest next in line. Only removing the OG infector can free the group.
Derrick: .... Hmm...
Reggie: Lethos has the ability to speak telepathically. Her ability to infect would be extremely horrific. Once the infection finds the "Shield" breaker entity, it will reallocate it as the OG infector to protect the chain.
Reggie: Then releasing the infection becomes extremely unlikely ensuring the destruction of the realm.
Reggie: ... I'm sorry to say, but turning Lethos small was actually not a good idea. Her size and unstable sanity kept her safe all this time so close to the edge.
Reggie: It would seem that her being in the grasslands is a danger from here on out unless we remedy the situation somehow.
Lucia: But what is the infection?? Is it a disease?? mind control??
Reggie: I can't let you know what it is. Only how it works and that the end result is you losing your mind.
