Most of the villagers continue to chase, but the ones closest to the skeleton stop to attack it; the mycolid lands a glancing blow, but the human misses even the slow-moving corpse by a wide margin. He is also healed by unseen sources.

That's probably a good idea, if it's permissible. That or I just shove Amanita out of the way.

Turn order is set in stone, sadly. Other solutions will have to abuse logic, not game abstractions.
