Unseconding. The only way back is through the Blood Meadow where those giant abominations are liable to scoop up one of the girls at any moment. (Notice how we were only a couple turns away from that when they entered the desert.)

We know the other gorgon is insane, meaning his disposition can't be changed(which is how the facade makes monsters friendly). If the other monster gets the drop on Lexii she won't survive the hit.
If the meatballs are an issue, we can always come through no mans land when the other monster isn't heading straight in our direction.
