>Lucia: do you feel ready to go to your father's room?

You ponder about your parent's bedroom. The place where it all began. It seems like a lifetime ago...

You examine the door of the room in the dimmed hall. It feels strange to you, as if it's not quite as you remember.

You take out your techrantula. Finally a chance to use it.

There has been a previous conversation on your account to Garreth. You are concerned why you were not included in this information.

Absolutely every word Narren has spoken has you lost for words. You don't know what your mind is even comprised of anymore. Every memory you have has been jeopardized.

RE: Lucidstuck II - TerraTorment - 08-31-2019

>Lucia: Narren is telling you the truth, you know you've been in a construct ever since reggie told you a while back, back then reggie stated he had to watch every word he says to not trigger your crazy powers, the situation you are in is very delicate, you need to control your emotions in order to maintain the balance and help your friends defeat the unknown entity, the real enemy, for your sake, derrick's and everybody else

RE: Lucidstuck II - Fellow - 08-31-2019

>Lucia: Ask Narren to get Reggie for you. You need someone to comfirm what's real and not. Get in a fort while you're at it, just to rule out UE pretending to be the raven.

Narren scampers off briskly. You don't want to think of what you might have to do if all this is a lie.

You can tell Ira is just trying to help you cope, but you're unsure if she truly understands how paranoid you are about the entire situation.

This is no laughing matter. You're too paranoid to leave this up in the air.

1. Side with Narren, she seems serious.
2. Reggie knows best (Excommunicate Narren)

Garry wants to keep lucia in the dark. If Reggie's story is a lie, he'll still take his side.

>Lucia:Narren said that you could destabilize Alice's construct if you learned the truth and got angry. Reggie might be trying to save everyone from that. Calm yourself as best you can and try to assure Reggie that you will control yourself even if there is a second construct.

RE: Lucidstuck II - martialAcademic - 08-31-2019

>3: Ask Reggie how many iterations the construct has had, and ask Narren *when* she learned this information as well as what exactly their leader said. There is the unfortunate third option that neither of them are lying, but that one or both of them might be *wrong*.

Seconding. :(

RE: Lucidstuck II - Panur - 08-31-2019

> Lucia: there's no need for a rash decision. It's possible Narren is telling the truth as far as she knows it. It's not impossible for her herself to have been misled by the Unknown Entity or anyone else, and your goals remain the same no matter what. Keep a cool head, there's no need for you to make a decision right now, just be on guard.

RE: Lucidstuck II - Ten11 - 08-31-2019

I want to say that, whichever side Lucia goes with, she shouldn't utterly distrust the other person, because she should keep in mind that they might've been lied to as well. Also, either way, she should remember to keep ahold of her emotions. That's one thing everyone has agreed on, that her getting too emotional and breaking the construct would be bad.

RE: Lucidstuck II - Kayriel - 09-01-2019

>2 But there is no reason to excommunicate Narren. Simply reprimand them for not double-checking information and let them know things are fine between the two of you. Don't start getting too paranoid about your allies - that way lies madness.

Lucia is unstable. Dangerously unstable. Even moreso than Alice. A slight push can send her down a hill to inevitable destruction of all things.

I feel like Reggie is trying to protect kayfabe by throwing Narren under the bus. After all, a reaper being on the outs with Lucia and possibly the others isn't a big deal in comparison to literally everyone dying and the entire mission (and story-adventure) becoming an absolute bust.

If we go with Narren on this, Lucia starts to learn more about the truth of the matter before she's ready. She's not even ready to face herself at the moment, let alone what's going on in the background. Reggie has been consistently our most shrewd and handy source of information-when-appropriate and is actively working with us.

Let us convince Lucia to simply dismiss Narren's claims as some damage from the dream world and warning (her?) to try and remember facts cleanly next time. Getting paranoid enough to send your own allies away is dangerous.

Seconding and adding

>Lucia: Keep a cool head about this. There's no need to turn every situation into an ultimatum. It seems everyone here is hearing different stories, so carefully and calmly trying to work out the truth is going to be a lot more productive than slashing out anyone who's story was different than the very next one you hear.

It seems Narren was telling you the truth after all and Reggie lied to you to protect you. You feel sick ever thinking that Narren would maliciously try to deceive you.

downvoting, i dont think we should be messing with stuff like that, could very well go wrong

RE: Lucidstuck II - amobiaman - 09-03-2019

>Lucia: Forget about trying to figure anything else out about the constructs. You already know what you need to do t0o save derrick, and that's to get the arena opened.

RE: Lucidstuck II - Kayriel - 09-03-2019

And this is exactly what I was worried about. The construct comes from the power of illusion. Illusions only work if you can't see past the trick. If reality is one explained-magic-trick away from falling apart, Lucia's knowledge and general instability represents a palpable threat to existence. She is likely our savior and most important figure bar Derrick, but she's a double-edged sword. We can't just use her to explore things we want to know.

Progressing too far with Red!Derrick is also a path to destruction, just a different one than I feared.

RE: Lucidstuck II - Ten11 - 09-04-2019

>Ask Reggie and Narren if there's anything specific you can do to help keep the construct up and running, other than not push too deeply for the truth and keep your emotions in check.
>Also, tell them about your meeting with Daydream.
