it has now been over 2 days since Sunspider promised to get back to us with her night action list and results. I'm perfectly content to draw out the day until it finally happens, but...well, who knows if everyone will take that trip with me. and while I'd really like nercania to claim, I don't harbor many illusions that they'll care enough to even try avoiding being lynched. sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo........................................................................in the interests of fighting scum and winning and all that good stuff......................I'm claiming! yes! it's true! I am NOT just a miller! I am the other town scientist!! all my actions, choices, and strongly-held beliefs will be revealed unto you now to be part of a hidden web of ~information~! yep! it's 3 AM and no one's posted in half a day so I got bored of waiting to do this!
while I am but a humble scientist, hampered in certain ways compared to a cop, yet events have conspired to give me a series of results...an innocent, and two guilties...I have debated whether to claim these things in full veracity, given the possible power of any possibly existing scum driving or redirecting roles to contradict what I say (perhaps with truth, or simply by lying) and impugn the good name of my checks. but I think it's easier for everyone in the long run if I don't try and construct silly mindgames. well, let's get on with it!
n1 - Mirdini and Solaris - Aligned. I did this so I could make a silly breadcrumbing joke the next day, and also to try and get a grip on who I could trust in this game. with Solaris dead, and the possibility of the godfather role being doubled like so many others remaining a distant star, we arrive at the reason I have been so awfully overly trusting and defensive of Mirdini.
n2 - Akumu and Sunspider--blocked by Mirdini, naturally. ah, sweet betrayal! I lied about the Pog++ thing so I could talk about this, though I did attempt to hand him a Fedora, which failed--yet not knowing if Robot told me that I "tried" but wasn't able to was because I was roleblocked or because I just truly was incapable of such actions, I chose to make it about the Pog++ (which I possessed).
n3 - Sunspider and awkwardcarapace - Different. ac having died in the night, we can now acknowledge a guilty on Sunspider. I regret not pushing for her lynch yesterday, yet without her checking in even once it seemed a fruitless, boring lynch which I rejected in favor of the confusing, self-contradictory figure which I thought most surely was no true reflection of my own self.
n4 - Akumu and Reyweld - Different. Reyweld swapped with Mirdini by Pharmacy, alas! yet perhaps in doing this a clearer guilty.
and now--we are all caught up with the present. what amounts to a guilty on two parties, and in the group of Reyweld-Pharmacy-Robust Laser surely someone whose lying tongue betrays them. (wheat's comment that a cop should distrust RL is not untrue--but for the fact that they forget a cop may have much more clear guilties to pursue before the interrogation of matters of game balance!)
all this is, incidentally, why I have not been "on board" with a lynch on n-o. my results may have been altered by some scum role out there, yet given how they match with my own hunches I feel inclined to believe them. with these and the other group, we have 3 scum. numberswise, it simply appears that they are not scum, as scummy as they may appear to be. I did not want to end up defending a player who barely played, an incurable lurker who did scummy things when they did appear--I even avoided checking them in order to circumvent this. but, here we are! if you want to go ahead and lynch them anyways and elect to place all your mylo hopes on my information, I suppose I cannot stop you. my preference would be to lynch Akumu, since I am (understandably, I hope) deeply afraid of any secret scum driving/redirecting powers. but Sunspider's claim could easily be fake as well, something I had wanted to assay for myself before claiming. but there is only so much patience in this world.
and now, to bed! hopefully hotly debating the truthfulness of my statements will re-invigorate this thread and lead us to the truth. goodnight!

So yeah I think Sunspider, Akumu, and Laser are our lynches of choice then? I trust seedy more than any of them anyways and if there are two scientists then a shotgun cop on top of that would be just crazy.
I mean there's my still currently active fear that the whole doubled roles thing is a scum conspiracy but that feels more and more like a massive risk with this claim - that said I'm still not certain why the roles that have been doubled seem more or less entirely random (roleblocker, scientist, inventor).

Also of note, I think that despite my earlier thoughts this new info means that Laser and Mirdini probably aren't coaligned. If Mirdini is scum, seedy is scum with him.
Of the three people I mentioned as being lynches of choice Sunspider is the most likely to not be a redirection/roleblocking role (since their claim involves actually having some info) so I'll switch to a Vote: Robust Laser. I'll swap to Akumu if that's where we're going but I feel like Laser's flip will offer more info (putting my mind at ease re: Mirdini one way or another) while I don't have much on Akumu in general tying them to anybody in any concrete way.

I have to hurry to work right now but uh, maybe I'm missing why you think I'm the priority out of those choices for suspicion. I'd think that if you're gonna go for an info lynch, you'd go more for somebody that's higher on the possible scum list, unless i'm even more suspicious than I thought. But, like, Reyweld or Akumu? One of whom apparently has to be mafia? Unless seedy is lying and scum, of course. I mean, I'm biased, knowing I'm town, which is not information others get, obviously, but maybe I'm missing why you think lynching me for info is the best option out of those presented.

I already had difficultly believing your role existed before we had another hard info role claim. Also, while Akumu has a pretty high likelihood of being scum at this point, and I was initially going to vote for them, I don't see that much info to be gained from their lynch. For you, however, I see a lot of anti-alignment between you and seedy which points to that same lack of alignment between you and Mirdini.
I'll also vote for Sunspider at this point but it makes me feel weird that you moved your vote there instead of Akumu (since they have a vote iirc and are implicated pretty heavily by seedy's post) or seedy (since it's extremely unlikely that there are this many sources of hard info kicking around in such a small game).

sorry if I wasn’t clear, I don’t have a guilty of any kind on Reyweld at the moment (I tried to check them, but pharmacy drove them and mirdini, so in effect I ended up checking Akumu-Mirdini). since I know mirdini is town from checking him and Solaris, Akumu is scum.
(Pala I think RL misread my post and was confused about the above—thinking that I had a definite guilty on Sunspider and an either-or on Reyweld/Akumu.)
currently based on my information Mirdini is town and Sunspider and Akumu are scum. and then in the group of you-Reyweld-pharmacy we can surmise there is scum as well.
I am kind of leery of lynching RL, mostly because lynching someone whose existence seemed contradicted by mine didn’t work out great yesterday...unfortunately with all the Death floating around even a correct lynch today won’t buy us much time for info lynches before MYLO. (this is also too bad because at this point I’d guess n-o as antitown 3p, which would be nice to get rid of if poisonings weren’t shortening our timespan.) otoh if RL is scum then who KNOWS what kind of role they really have...hmm. I guess I still want Akumu the most, since Sunspider is confirmed by Reyweld to be what she says she is (a relatively weak PR (I forgot it was confirmed earlier while theorizing about her lying))?

also, judging how the town item crafter roles worked, willing to bet cash money on Robust Laser being the scum bomb-etc.-maker as a version of the town item crafter roles (targets multiple players, gives out items at random) that matches that fakeclaim's number of targets
p.s. if a scum busdriver/redirector does end up dead today, PHARMACY DO NOT BUS ME I NEED ME AN ANTIDOTE ;-;

seedy I'm concerned about redirection possibly screwing with your results (via a scum busdriver or something else) so while Akumu is my second lynch of choice I think Laser is a safer bet based on interaction, a role that I thought was pretty weird from the get go, and I'm not super fond of their most recent posts.
If Laser dies and is scum, yeah Mirdini should get an antidote. If Laser dies and is town, let him die.

Also with scum driver it is totally possible for Sunspider to be fake claiming one of her scum parters' thief role, but yeah that would be super unnecessary and risky so I don't want to look at them right now anyways.

I'm here, I just don't think I have much to add. Seedy's claim and results make sense.
I think robust laser would be scum over pharmacy with these new results, because I am loathe to believe there would be three scientists, making the scum team Sunspider, Akumu and Robust Laser.
If seedy was lying and actually a scum!seedy, that would probably mean Mirdini and Akumu (being busdriven) / N-o are the rest of the scum team. It's impossible though, Mirdini is too solid a town.
Basically for me it comes down to trusting Seedy over Robust Laser, especially re: Robust Lasers N1 and N2 checks being lost by including Seedy in them. They could be coaligned, but with so many more obvious guilty parties I'm nipping that theory in the bud.
I'm relived that this game is wrapping up.

I am also pretty worried about that (it's only the fact that my guilty checks haven’t really been playing all that town that’s soothing me)
I also worry about 2 godfathers but that’s more paranoia (I’m glad there doesn’t APPEAR to be two scumteams like I was worried about earlier...can you imagine trying to be a scientist in that scenario?)
