RE: All Night Laundry - In which Amie criticizes a metaphor - 2017-03-30 - jack_fractal - 03-31-2017 UPDATE - 1411 - In which Amie criticizes a metaphor RE: All Night Laundry - In which Amie criticizes a metaphor - 2017-03-30 - tegerioreo - 03-31-2017 You disarm the kid first. THEN you give them a chance. RE: All Night Laundry - In which Amie criticizes a metaphor - 2017-03-30 - Fellow - 03-31-2017 It's not a kid with a shotgun because it's not killing people by accident. Remember when we overheard Gregor? He was convinced to kill: The botfly told him that it's okay for him to murder because it's never going to have happened. It understands that much of the situation. RE: All Night Laundry - In which Kendra has read Derleth - 2017-03-31 - jack_fractal - 04-01-2017 UPDATE - 1412 - In which Kendra has read Derleth RE: All Night Laundry - In which Kendra has read Derleth - 2017-03-31 - Schazer - 04-01-2017 Bina stare blankly for a moment, before: "oh my fucking god-" RE: All Night Laundry - In which Kendra has read Derleth - 2017-03-31 - tegerioreo - 04-01-2017 In the crop of Derleth stories (written in posthumous collaboration with Lovecraft) from The Watcher Out of Time, it's always the hapless investigator who gets eaten by the Slurping Horror - but then by some lame coincidence the thing is unable to fully enter our dimension, or it gets banished somehow. The world goes on normally, and no-one would have ever known, if the hero's final frantic journal hadn't been discovered in a dilapidated shack out in the boonies. Actually, that might be a best-case scenario here. Write everything down in a frantic disjointed journal and stash it under the floorboards of a backwoods cabin; that's an essential step if you want any hope of success. RE: All Night Laundry - In which Kendra has read Derleth - 2017-03-31 - jack_fractal - 04-02-2017 UPDATE - 1413 - In which this is not a tv show @tegerioreo: Haha! That would definitely save the world, but only if the average number of adjectives per sentence was over three. RE: All Night Laundry - In which she doesn't want to talk - 2017-04-03 - jack_fractal - 04-04-2017 UPDATE - 1415 - In which she doesn't want to talk to either of them RE: All Night Laundry - In which she doesn't want to talk - 2017-04-03 - Schazer - 04-04-2017 When you're feeling as directionless as Amie is, getting caught up in some kind of narrative that's consistent only until someone looks at it from the outside is kind of understandable. She's getting lost.... in the moment RE: All Night Laundry - In which Emmie has a smug - 2017-04-04 - jack_fractal - 04-05-2017 UPDATE - 1416 - In which Emmie has a smug RE: All Night Laundry - In which Emmie has a smug - 2017-04-04 - tegerioreo - 04-05-2017 Continue with the planning then. RE: All Night Laundry - In which Bina is a grouch - 2017-04-05 - jack_fractal - 04-06-2017 UPDATE - 1417 - In which Bina is a grouch RE: All Night Laundry - In which they could break in - 2017-04-06 - jack_fractal - 04-07-2017 UPDATE - 1418 - In which they could break into some of those places RE: All Night Laundry - In which they could break in places - 2017-04-06 - tegerioreo - 04-07-2017 Emmie: Use Wiles. You charmer, you. RE: All Night Laundry - In which Amie wonders about wondering - 2017-04-07 - jack_fractal - 04-08-2017 UPDATE - 1419 - In which they could break into some of those places Teg you scoundrel. Deploying Wiles at a time like this! RE: All Night Laundry - In which Amie wonders about wondering - 2017-04-07 - btp - 04-08-2017 It seems like if anybody were to take Amie's side, it would be Emmie. He seemed the most curious about the botfly after exposure. I'm kind of surprised he hasn't tried to look at the unlight again. He is very level headed and used to trusting what the experts have to say, but I wonder if Amie's outburst hasn't reignited his curiosity. RE: All Night Laundry - In which Amie wonders about wondering - 2017-04-07 - tegerioreo - 04-08-2017 Well, Amie, you do have a slightly villainous haircut. RE: All Night Laundry - In which Amie nearly died once - 2017-04-08 - jack_fractal - 04-09-2017 UPDATE - 1420 - In which Amie nearly died once RE: All Night Laundry - In which Amie nearly died once - 2017-04-08 - tegerioreo - 04-10-2017 Switchbacks, I think. RE: All Night Laundry - In which Amie nearly died once - 2017-04-08 - jack_fractal - 04-10-2017 UPDATE - 1421 - In which of course she fell RE: All Night Laundry - In which it was ten years ago - 2017-04-10 - jack_fractal - 04-11-2017 UPDATE - 1422 - In which it was ten years ago RE: All Night Laundry - In which she missed it by inches - 2017-04-11 - jack_fractal - 04-12-2017 UPDATE - 1423 - In which she missed it by inches RE: All Night Laundry - In which she missed it by inches - 2017-04-11 - tegerioreo - 04-12-2017 That's quite a story. |
