RE: The End. - Gnauga - 05-28-2013 Cut across great distances. RE: The End. - myw - 05-30-2013 "We'll get to the end." The whirl intensifies. It's violent and terrible, and a storm begins. It will not stop you. The salvation of Dravenlor. The apples of age five. Skimming the second ocean... You reflect every memory you cherish into your blade. One swing. Before the storm truly begins, you'll sever the whirl and the Demon in one swing. You swing is resisted by the billowing winds. Resisted, but not stopped. The blade makes its way to the center. And stops there. You press the blade. You'll destroy this wind yet. Tendrils of the whirlwind fly outwards. They spin and wrap your blade. You blade is the new focus of the spinning black winds. You struggle to rip your blade free. you lose that struggle. violently, the Demon swings the winds, and your blade, away. The winds die part way through. You realize that the Demon was struggling to handle your weapon. It lands back onto the bridge over abyss. Lucky. The Demon slips out of his trickling storm. It seems this cut was not worthless. It's weakened. "...Interesting. The dreams of gods and fate are strong this time." More mysteries. RE: The End. - Ambivorous - 05-30-2013 Kamehameha. RE: The End. - Not The Author - 05-30-2013 This time, if you'll recall, is all times and no times. I wonder... If the demon has done this before-- It remembers. It has fought before. It sounds as though it has won before, too. I wonder if those it has bested before-- those it is remembering right at this moment-- would not appreciate the chance at revenge? See if you can't use its own memories against it. RE: The End. - McFrugal - 05-31-2013 Dreams are the sleeping mind processing memory. How appropriate. Now, he didn't think you only had ONE weapon, did he? Your backup blade isn't quite as strong, but it will do. Make as if you are simply trying to defend to get past it and recover your weapon, then unsheath your blade when the time is right for a surprise attack. RE: The End. - Gnauga - 05-31-2013 Storms. Conjure hurricanes, monsoons, gales, squalls, and cyclones until the demon is blotted out by the swirl of strokes and dissipates with the winds. RE: The End. - Crowstone - 05-31-2013 reveal the truth about its past RE: The End. - btp - 06-01-2013 You're running low on memories. Perhaps you can steal some of the demons? RE: The End. - myw - 06-02-2013 You face the demon. It seems the whirlwind required a great deal of strength. Its presence is no longer transcendent. However, without your blade, you're probably not going to be able to deal a fatal blow. ... ... You move. It follows... and overtakes you. ...The Demon is still faster than you, even in this state. Your pride is wounded. It clears the dust as it waits for you to land. It will not need to wait long. While your blade, the Light of Judgment, amplifies the solidity of your memory, it is your ability the manifest them in the first place. You focus and layer memory behind you. You kick off of those memories. Thankfully, the blade is not your only weapon. out of a hidden sheath, you draw the Butcher's Triangle. ...A cruel weapon, designed wide to create wounds that would not heal easily. You took it off the Count Menditsys as he paid for his crimes. You were never sure why you kept it. The Demon is caught off guard by your sudden change in speed, only managing to catch your blade with its hand. This is the closest you've been to the Demon. All of its talk seems to indicate intelligence, life, and experience. It might be possible, then, to draw out the Demon's memories and turn them against him. You gaze into its eyes, the window to the soul. Its empty. RE: The End. - Crowstone - 06-02-2013 Throw memories directly in there! RE: The End. - Gnauga - 06-02-2013 Fill it with love. RE: The End. - Whimbrel - 06-02-2013 That was a mistake. What's the saying? When you stare into the abyss it also stares into you? And you're at an unfortunate disadvantage, in that your inner self actually has things that can be attacked. RE: The End. - AgentBlue - 06-03-2013 Don't panic. Reach in there. There must be something. And if there isn't anything, hit it in the inside. RE: The End. - ICan'tGiveCredit - 06-03-2013 (06-02-2013, 04:49 PM)Gnauga Wrote: ยปFill it with love. this please. RE: The End. - myw - 06-04-2013 This was a mistake. This Demon's soul was not a weakness. It wasn't even there... no, that's wrong. It must be here. There must be something. And, theoretically, with such a vast emptiness... couldn't you fill it and write over this soul? You test it. You allow your own overflowing love of life to leak out of your soul. The darkness around you is painted a better color. No sooner than you think that, the color of your soul is drained and dragged away. You turn in the direction your soul is drained, and pull yourself together. Even so, your self is not stable. Parts of you are still leaking away. You focus on your form. You paint your own features. You remember the scar. Your form is not fully controlled, but it functions. You stare outwards. Something... something really is there. Your painted expression darkens as you focus on it. Small parts of yourself flow towards a speck far off... or is it near? You have no sense of distance in this void. All you know is that its pull is ridiculously strong. RE: The End. - ICan'tGiveCredit - 06-04-2013 > go towards it RE: The End. - McFrugal - 06-05-2013 You didn't get this far without caution. The pull would be much stronger the closer you get. Establish an anchor of memory here, where you can still resist the pull. Always have an escape plan. RE: The End. - btp - 06-05-2013 The demon isn't void of memories. It's compacted full of them. All of the memories of humanities - existence's suffering, pain, desperation, they've all coalesced into a black hole of thought, all pounding and crying out for one thing: The end of suffering, to end existence and bring the calming peace of nothingness. It...is rather calming...so easy to get lulled into, too easy to find yourself closer than you were before. RE: The End. - Crowstone - 06-05-2013 use your long parts to grab it and bring it to the main part of you RE: The End. - myw - 06-06-2013 You need to know what lay in this Demon's soul. You move forward and reach out... Only to find that it pulls you in immediately. It is right in front of you. You suddenly understand the Demon's nature. It is not void of memories. It is compacted full of them. Memories that- You make contact And then the voices came An infinite number at once You don't understand You lose form You eject yourself. What was that? You feel a haze of thought. It doesn't matter. You need to focus on the present. Your gaze was instantaneous- nothing has changed. You are still inches away from the Demon. RE: The End. - Pharmacy - 06-06-2013 Jesus christ dude, pull that damn thing away from your head. RE: The End. - Gnauga - 06-06-2013 D-demon-san... RE: The End. - ICan'tGiveCredit - 06-06-2013 > Kiss A Demonic Memory Romance RE: The End. - McFrugal - 06-07-2013 Suddenly realizing you were already grappled by the demon and about to be eaten, you surrounded yourself with memory in the shape of a cocoon, pushing it back. Then you realized you took a piece of the Demon with you. A piece of that compressed memory, that you could release at once using your power, in a massive explosion of memory shards. RE: The End. - Whimbrel - 06-07-2013 Pull out another weapon. Stab. |
